if you don't start defending your BB now, the short stacks are gonna run over you.

Obvious shove spot to isolate, you want to fold out better unsuited 9 highs from Zartarious and Eric19. If you've got a solid image, you have a shot at folding out hands like T4 and J4 also. As played, this seems good, clearly your opponent is open shoving 7c4c. Spots like these are hugely +EV and are what make 2p2'ers the best players online.

At the time obv. I was thinking it wouldn't even matter because they were short and would be committed anyway, and if they're eric (with $400) was really bad he might call and I could induce a huge mistake if he folds to a CBet on the flop getting a bazillion to one.

BUT I think the psychological advantage that shoving gives me is better.

There really are very few bad flops for your hand, so you wouldn't even be in bad shape if Eric coldcalled preflop and then called it off on the flop. For example, on a 7-3-2 rainbow flop, you have several different backdoor straight draws, you can make top pair on the turn, and potentially hit running trip 4's.

Results? I'd love to read that you were facing 66 and the board peeled off 88727, as the 9 high aspect of our hand seems to comprise a ton of our equity IMO.
