Low Variance NLHE...Huh what\'s that? (Graph Included)

So I'm trying out a new style of poker at FR; SLAG instead of TAG. I suppose I need to plug a few holes or something...

Brag: I'm running at 4.18 BB/100 and am up $900+ in 25 hrs of play

Beat: I broke my $60 studio headphones somewhere in between hands 4566 and 5327. Now I can't listen to Boyz II Men in true stereo quality

I thought anything better than 3 was good? My winrate is right there with most of the other regs at FR NL100 on Full Tilt.

3 is for limit, a brag would be 8 in NL

I play 9-12 tables. I was like WTF about the winrate, because I'm in the top 10 players with over 10,000 hands in my database, with the highest winrate at 6.04.

i've played < 4k hands of ssnl in my career and i'm fairly confident i can beat 50nl today for 8ptbb

I've played <50 hands of 600NL and beat it for > 35ptbb/100, so I'm pretty sure 8ptbb at a lower stake is sustainable.

Game selection is key to making 8+ PTBB/100.

Re: Low Variance NLHE...Huh what\'s that? (Graph Included)

um, the person who posted 200 & 400nl. you do realize that what you posted is BB and not PTBB. you are only making <4PTBB.

you could make 8PTBB in 100NL if you picked like the top 2-3 tables from multiple sites. if you play on 1 site and play 8+ tables 8PTBB is unsustainable and no 50k isn't a good sample size.

the OP's post is stupid anyways, you call 4 BI swings variance? thats not even close to high variance. thats like standard.

this is correct.

1) the stats posted are probably from a site that does not accept US players

2) on sites that do accept US players, there are a handful of players at each level from NL100-NL400 that have played 100K+ hands since the legislation @ 8ptbb/100+ (i.e., < 5). it's not impossible, it's just practically impossible.

You are indeed wrong, if it was in bb I would be at 16bb/100 or something.
And it is a Party poker graph. But I've heard in MSNLH that the full tilt 2/4 and pp 2/4 are pretty much the same. Seems to be more fish on Party but weaker regs on Full Tilt.

Never tried it tho cause it would be such an hassle to move my bankroll from sites. Who knows, maybe I was being leveled.

Anything over 4ptbb/100 at NL100+ FR is pretty good assuming your playing >8 tables.

Yeah, I beat NL100 for >10 ptbb/100 over my first 11k+ hands (edit: 12 tabling, LDO), and I'm quite certain I'm awful at NL.

Yeah I was being sarcastic about the low variance part. If I would stop tilting so bad and quit trying to force people to fold obvious overpairs then it wouldn't be so full of variance.
