Re: (NL600) AA faces huge all-in raise on the turn
wow, given how tight both of you are i think i fold this pretty quickly
|
Re: (NL600) AA faces huge all-in raise on the turn
bet more on the flop and turn
I fold here |
Re: (NL600) AA faces huge all-in raise on the turn
What do you think villain is holding?
Do you really think that a what appears to be a TAG will play full house this way? What is the worst hand you call with here? |
Re: (NL600) AA faces huge all-in raise on the turn
Flop bet should be liek 40-45 leading to a 120-135 turn bet.
as played I think you can fold the turn. Seems like you'll see a boat, flopped straight or something random like 34s every time. |
Re: (NL600) AA faces huge all-in raise on the turn
easy fold. at the worst he has 34

[/ QUOTE ] If you don't think he play that this way. What do you think he plays like this and that you are ahead of? I really doubt he does this with a draw. |

Re: (NL600) AA faces huge all-in raise on the turn
As an example, two hands I could see doing this that AA is ahead of are 9h8h and KK. Also the relatively small bets might have induced a bluff.
If the consensus is that you have to fold AA here, can't villain push the turn profitably with any 2 cards? 5 replies so far said fold, so it very well might be the correct play. Hypothetical scenario: How do you play this hand if villain raises to 225-250$, especially if villain pushes the river? |
Re: (NL600) AA faces huge all-in raise on the turn
lol at folding here.
|
Re: (NL600) AA faces huge all-in raise on the turn
I call. Guess that makes me a station.
|
Re: (NL600) AA faces huge all-in raise on the turn
Both of your tight stats make this a close decision. Still, I'm leaning towards calling.
|
Re: (NL600) AA faces huge all-in raise on the turn
Im calling and expect to see KK QQ here alot.
|
Re: (NL600) AA faces huge all-in raise on the turn
I probably fold here fairly quickly. While he doesn't have 43 here, he does have something that owns us.
|
Re: (NL600) AA faces huge all-in raise on the turn
I cawl and expect to see something with hearts.

i call all day.
|
Re: (NL600) AA faces huge all-in raise on the turn
After the initial responses were 5:0 in favor of folding the new tally is now 7:6 in favor of calling.
I really am very much interested in how you play this hand if villain makes a normal sized raise on the turn. If you call that raise you will get about 3:1 on the river if villain shoves. --- (Bonus question: Does anyone call with worse than AA? KK? QQ?) |

[ QUOTE ] easy fold. at the worst he has 34 [/ QUOTE ] I highly doubt he has 34 here [/ QUOTE ] Yea I dont think its a huge part of his range, but its the WORST hand that beats you IMO. Also, yea, the turn puts two hearts out there, so its actually possible he picked up hearts and made a move, but no one does that anymore, he just wants you to think he does. He has a hand here, he woulda been semi bluffing in 2005. |

Re: (NL600) AA faces huge all-in raise on the turn
Villain has 76 and is trying to get value from his now duplicated two pair. He simultaneously thinks you're FOS because of your smallish turn bet.

Re: (NL600) AA faces huge all-in raise on the turn
If you fold here you are a nit... instacall and you will he has a draw.
|
Re: (NL600) AA faces huge all-in raise on the turn
I was actually the villain in this hand but I thought the hand was more interesting from the perspective of the AA-hand.
So I will try one last time to get opinions on a) do you fold at some point there is a normal sized raise on the turn and a push on the river? b) do you call the all-in on the turn with less than AA? |
Re: (NL600) AA faces huge all-in raise on the turn
hate the turn bet with AA
I think I just fold having represented exactly what I've got vs a 12/9 and having him move in on me, especially without anything else going on if my image is bad I think it's a snapcall because I'm going to see a worse overpair a ton here, and it's probably the only correct time to fire out on this turn ps., my image is often pretty bad |

Re: (NL600) AA faces huge all-in raise on the turn
LOL. This is such a ridiculously easy call. The board pairing makes it WAY less likely we are beat when he pushs.

Re: (NL600) AA faces huge all-in raise on the turn
Results?

Re: (NL600) AA faces huge all-in raise on the turn
Snap snap snapcall, I would only check turn if I had a read villain is a good tag.
|
Re: (NL600) AA faces huge all-in raise on the turn
Who is Villain in this hand? I call/fold depending on who the villain is I think. .
|
Re: (NL600) AA faces huge all-in raise on the turn
I think our hand is so faced up right now that it makes it more likely that villain is going to pull a stupid bluff here.

Who is Villain in this hand? I call/fold depending on who the villain is I think. . [/ QUOTE ] My opponent(12/9/3) was holding AA. I was the player with the unkown hand (17/11/2), pushed the turn and wanted to see how 2+2 players react to that. |
Re: (NL600) AA faces huge all-in raise on the turn
Did you try to bluff him off his overpair? The guy is playing 12/9, do you think he waits to get dealt monsters just to fold them when the board pairs?
|
Re: (NL600) AA faces huge all-in raise on the turn
Hopefully your push was for value.
|
Re: (NL600) AA faces huge all-in raise on the turn
this is either a set (boat on turn) or an overpair. everyone saying 34 is retarded.

eh why would villian shove a boat on the turn? call
