LV vs. AC
How would one compare the games in las Vegas compared to the games in Atlantic City? I play 5-10 limit at the Borgata and am going to the Wynn and plan on playing 4-8.

Re: LV vs. AC
The difference is the games in Las Vegas are 3000 miles to the west of Atlantic City.

Re: LV vs. AC
There's a good chance you'll see the 4-8 at the Wynn play more like a Borgata 3-6/2-4 simply because thats the lowest limit game spread at the Wynn. Whereas, the Borgata has the 2-4 and 3-6 to absorb a lot of the "worse" players. You certainly wouldn't expect the 4-8 to be tougher than the 5-10.
But any given table on any given night can be an exception. One or two atypical players can change the entire nature of the table. |
Re: LV vs. AC
I play 5/10 at Borgata regularly, and I found Wynn 4/8 to be very comfortable. Bellagio 8/16 didn't seem much different either. Very small sample size, but there's another data point for you.

Re: LV vs. AC
Vegas games are traditionally tighter.

Thanks to all for the comments. Perhaps I should watch my Ed Miller DVD. I should also watch my late night drinking, it will cost me more than the tips.

My flight planner says 2239 miles from EWR to LAS. Google says driving is 2521 miles. And unless you have a private plane I don't think you're gonna find a direct flight from ACY to LAS. |

[/ QUOTE ] Well, technically, the direct flights from ACY to LVS are currently being offered, but there have been a couple of news article about Spirit Airlines dropping the ACY/LVS route because it is not profitable, and they are looking to add more flights to southern island resort areas. |
Re: LV vs. AC
Still, I flew Spirit, ACY to LVS for $79 a couple of weeks ago.
Haha, maybe that's why they aren't so profitable. Still, the plane was almost full - would be poor planning if they could break even with planes that full. Would be a little sad to see it go. |
Re: LV vs. AC
Spirit offers some good deals if you sign up for its email mailing list. You could get to LV round trip for $130 from AC for certain dates in Dec.
