Everyone please welcome Tom Bayes as the mod of Other Poker. I have been campaigning for him for a long time, as OP had no mod and he is probably the most valuable poster there.

Tom is an old school Draw player, like my husband, so they always have something to talk about. Now that Stars has Draw, both of them play there, although Tom prefers tournaments only.

I've known him for a long time, back in the old Mike Caro days of United Poker Forum.

He's a great guy. Say howdy!

not to rain on Tom's parade, but how did you convince Mat into adding a mod for that forum? Last I knew it was low traffic and he didn't want a mod in other poker since nothing ever happens there.

I stopped asking Mat and asked Ryan, lol [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

Plus I got involved in a long thread involving a disconnect-abuse player on Stars and started clicking on every thread in there, realizing that although the traffic is low, we should have someone FT watching out. I'm sure that my "notify mod" e-mails were getting old for Mat & Ryan, with all of the other stuff they were doing.

Thanks for the welcome. I'm not sure if I know what I did to myself, agreeing to be a mod. Fortunately Other Poker is pretty low traffic and has less flaming that most forums [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]
