FGators: The Final Chapter [1.4m hands EV graph]

Importing and processing this kinda massive data is a real [censored] pain for both my nerves and computer. Sorry that it took a while. I cant get the rest to import but I think you will literally get the picture.

PLEASE NOTE This is a DIFFERENT pEV version. What you are seeing IS the lucktab, NOT the very similiar looking overall graph from previous versions. The green "overall winnings" line is only there to show the reality clash.

Enjoy!

and it means that if he ran at expectation he would still be a losing player.

edit: make that "breakeven player" , but according to data he would have still lost money.

so if i'm interpreting this graph correctly, he ran extremely close to expectation for about 1 and a half million hands and he still claims he ran bad?

If my maths are correct he would have won 0.2ptBB/100 more if he was running exactly at expectation. (calculated for 200NL)

wow FGators you sure showed us.

waiting for the part where you dismiss the pokerEV charts as ludicrous and that we "just dont get" how truly bad you run

Re: FGators: The Final Chapter [1.4m hands EV graph]

I don't get how this works...I honestly am sucked out on a 250:1 ratio..in fact I can't remember the last time I coolered someone or got it in drawing to two outs and won yet it happens to me a large portion of the time so I don't know how this graph works. I've got a Word document with about $400k worth of total bad beats and I've probably only sucked out on people in about 5k worth of pots lifetime so thats how I do my pokerv graphs.

Re: FGators: The Final Chapter [1.4m hands EV graph]

the fgators definition of a bad beat:

dealt 99.

fgators calls $2
sb calls $1
bb checks

flop As 2s 3s

fgators bets $198 and is all in
sb folds
bb calls $198

bb shows (4s 5s) straight flush

bb wins

When statistical proof shows you are a losing player because you aren't good at poker, not because you are "unlucky" why would anyone in their right mind admit it?

Clayton 10-13-2007 11:18 AM

Re: FGators: The Final Chapter [1.4m hands EV graph]

I would say you are unlucky in the sense that your upbringing and society turned you into someone so stubborn that it's cost you upwards of six figures.

But then again, I believe you create your own luck.

good work Hra, <3 the graphs! so what exactly are we conluding from these graphs? even if he had ran exactly on expectation would he still have been a losing player?

Re: FGators: The Final Chapter [1.4m hands EV graph]

Well, he was right. He is running below expectation.
