Never trust anyone pt. 2

What you may have heard is true.

I was robbed of ~$130,000 cash on 3/2/07 by Ricardo Rivero at 5:00am when he exited our motel room carrying my laptop case packed with my money. He exited the property of the motel carrying my stolen cell phone, called the hotel to cancel the reservations and hasn't shown his face since.

I will keep the long story short for now but I have whole heartedly decided upon the pursuit of my stolen possesions by any means. I ask you fellow lurkers to let me know anything about Rick that may be helpful in my understanding of who or what Rick is. He seemed like a MSNL lurker perhaps who played as Exce555 on and off at 2-4 to 5-10nl

I was lucky enough to meet most of Rick's extended family last week at his uncle's graduation and even spend 2 nights at his uncle's house. Rick probably has chosen to disappear for a while but what he may not have understood is that he will not be shamed upon by an entire community of poker players - a community which Rick has recently been surrounding himself with.

This thread potential excites my emotions.

Grim, whatever the circumstances are, getting robbed like that sucks. I hope the end result is satisfying whatever it may be.

hey man i know it's BBV and all laughs but my sympathies definitely go out to you. don't worry karma will strike him and he'll most likely get hit by a bus.

good luck finding him and your money.

Obviously the only way to remedy this situation is for Rick to go all in blind for $130k and let Grimstarr decide if he should call or not.

Re: Never trust anyone pt. 2

1) Call the damn police. This is not a trivial amount of money we are talking about here. He is looking at serious prison time. It doesn't matter that you were gambling underage at Commerce. CALL THE POLICE.

2) Speak with his family and have the police do so as well

3) Have the police speak with the mods about his IP address so they can trace it.

The guy is pretty dumb. He let you know who he was; there is no way he is getting away with this if you are dilligent.

Grim,
I hope you never get back a single cent of your money.
I hope you go on a newhizzelesque life tilt and donk off the rest of your bankroll.
You are scum. Your fakeout flip speaks worlds about who you are as a person. You absolutely deserve everything that comes to you.

+1 on an elaboration of the story.. sounds very sketchy as it is... why were you at his uncles place? how long have you known him/been friends?

Re: Never trust anyone pt. 2

if you're afraid of going to cops for whatever reason, get a REAL p.i. like tomorrow.

rico doesn't seem too smart and this doesn't sound at all like some elaborate setup, so, with professional help, he should not be hard to find. also, when you negotiate with the p.i. try to do it as a straight commission deal - if they get back your money you give them x% (not really sure what x should be). do this asap.

good luck.

GL Grim. I hope you get your money back. Some of the comments in here are ridiculous. Getting robbed in person by a roommate for 130k is a dead serious thing and has nothing to do with a 50/50 (40/60?) online flip.

Re: Never trust anyone pt. 2

You can't splurge on a a hotel room by yourself carrying that kind of money? Also, next time spend the extra fifty and get a room with a safe in it.
