I have no idea why people claim that they know what the results would be in cases like this. Clearly, they are both extremely good players. It's not like we're talking about Jerry Yang going heads up with Aba.

There are really only a few (probably less than twenty) people on 2+2 who would have a clear idea of where the edge would lie and why, durrr being one of them.

It might well be that Ivey is a better HU NLHE player (I have no idea), but I can't imagine his edge would be so big against JMan that it would be an easy bloodbath.

A lot of these younger guys are NLHE specialists as opposed to top players that play tons of games. I don't think it's that big a stretch to suggest that a top NLHE specialist could have the best of it.

i think Jman would have a very big edge (by nosebleed HU standards) vs Ivey. I think Ivey plays very poorly online. I've said this to some people who know him and they claim he just doesn't care about the stakes so he donks it up, but either way if they're playing 300/600 Jman's the favorite.
