Stars VIP Wild speculation

Just a couple days till the new year, but stars hasn't announced the changes to the VIP program quite yet.

I'm interested to see what you guys think the changes will be for the higher tiers- 200k, 300k, 500k 750k (I think) are the new levels. And speculation with regards to the new freeroll changes.

Lets hear it!

This is so easy.... 10 million vpps gets you a 1st class cabin on the first ship to Alpha Centuri..... they're taking so long to announce it because they need to make sure they have sufficient fuel....

i got this because I am going to fall about 15k VPPs short of SuperNova and was trying to reason with them.

Hello John,

Thank you for your email. We are not able to make exceptions. The VIP
program will only improve in 2007 and the rewards for a player of your
size will be huge. We will have rewards for making 200k, 300k, 400k, 500k
and 750k VPPs in 2007.

Regards,

Scotty

do u guys think that u will have to make that amount of VPP SPECIFICALLY in 2007 to get the new rewards, or will VPP earned in 2006 count too.

i really hope it's specifically 2007. even though i have about 250,000 VPPs, i only played for about half of the year. the way they have been making it sound, everything will reset on the new year.

as for my predictions, i think the highest tier will include a free WSOP package. the lower ones might have some other free entires (satellites, WCOOP, etc). at least, i hope.

It's specifically 2007, I asked.
I also thought there was a level for 1,000,000 Vpps...

Huge rewards they say?
OMG STARS BRING IT ON ALREADY!

1,000,000 isn't THAT hard. Plenty of higher limit LHE players or SNG players could get this in a year fairly easy.

Re: Stars VIP Wild speculation

Ya, if the reward was big enough I could get this in 6 months if not less.

7,000 hands a day at 5 10 and 10 20 limit gets you 6000 VPP

Play 25 days a month. Thats like 130,000 points a month 8 months should do it.

But thats 8 hours of poker per day. I think I will have a nervous breakdown by the end of it. But if the reward was big enough I would definately do it

If you play 8 hours of 10/20+ limit a day and have a winrate as opposed to a loserate you probably won't still be playing 10/20 or need that reward very much.

i really doubt whatever perks they make will be equivalent to over 30% RB, especially considering what it takes to get to nova

At many levels, Nova VIP is already 30%+ Rakeback

[/ QUOTE ]there have been quite a few threads which have done all of the math. If you're a Nova, you're getting a very good rakeback rate was the general conclusion IIRC.

Yes.

A fair assumption for a general rakeback % would be to multiply your FPP multiplier by 10%. So bronze is 10%, silver 15, etc etc, with nova at 35%.

Hello xxxx,

You are very welcome. I appreciate the time you took to reply. In
response
to your question regarding VIP levels, I can inform you that our VIP
status
levels will be very similar to our current levels. By this I mean,
players
will have to earn the same amount of VPPs etc for status upgrades.
Currently
we are not planning on changing any of these guidelines.

As you are currently a PlatinumStar I recommend that you review our
website
to see the exact details regarding your status:

Have a nice day.

I heard that they will have an ultra high roller club for those that can earn 10 million VPPs in 2007.

manub 12-28-2006 10:21 PM

Re: Stars VIP Wild speculation

10 million is impossible.

Elky made 100k VPP in two weeks playing the highest limits, up to 10-14 tables, 10 hours or more a day. At this rate over a whole year, you'd make only 2.6 million VPPs.

Anyhow i'm getting really impatient now! C'mon Stars !

Stop it you'll get Lee panicking he'll think he really does have to go into the (star)ship construction business and the info will never get released.

Seriously though just how close to midnight on the 31st are they planning on leaving it. I'm guessing they didn't want overlap with the 5th anniversary promo but it's getting silly......

Re: Stars VIP Wild speculation

I made a suggestion awhile ago that they should do the SuperNova qualification based on a rolling 12 month calendar. Scotty seemed receptive to the idea at the time, and said they hoped to have something "fair for everyone in December".
I think going to a rolling calendar would help a lot of us that started playing Stars hardcore in October and are ending up a little short in hitting the 100K VPP's, and I don't see it would be unfair to anyone... comments?
