weird TPGK in multiway pot
no real read on UTG+1. Button is DrGiggy. BB is a terrible loose-passive.
What do I do on the turn? I mean, I feel the weak donk is strongly indicative of a draw, but... how do I maximize value? Can I win the hand? WTF do the other guys have? Fold quick. [/ QUOTE ] nah you gotta think about it for 5 or 10 seconds, he's got top pair |
Re: weird TPGK in multiway pot
I think BTN has you beat never.
UTG+1 might have you beat and wanted to slowplay on the flop to suck others in. BB might have a stupendous hand, but he may have KQ as well. You could raise to $170 and fold to any more action. BTN is never coming over the top with worse, and I don't see the others doing it either. |
Re: weird TPGK in multiway pot
Folding is best, taking reverse implied odds into account. Your hand could be best but can't take anymore heat.

Re: weird TPGK in multiway pot
I fold the turn... there is just to much action in this hand for TP to be good here with a J kicker
A loose passive player bets out into 3 other players i dont think KJ is good here |
Re: weird TPGK in multiway pot
shove it in. it's only $400.

Re: weird TPGK in multiway pot
If the BB is a terrible CS who donks with second pair/draws etc then shoving isn't bad at all imo. You'll often fold KQ hands or worse from the other two, plus they may have draws anyway. In real life I'd prob just chuck it though.

Re: weird TPGK in multiway pot
If BB is genuinely passive then he's probably not donking the turn into three players with a worse hand or draw. Combine that with the possibility that the players behind you could have a better hand already and it's a fold.
Also, fold preflop. |
Re: weird TPGK in multiway pot
fold pf for sure
i was going to say call turn because its 1/5th pot and just fold to a river bet but then i realized everyone behind you called your flop bet so fold |
Re: weird TPGK in multiway pot
i also fold PF.
doesn't the flop action make it seem pretty unlikely that the button or BB has a big hand? i can see UTG+1 maybe slowplaying , but the board's pretty live and the pot's fairly large by the time the action gets to both the button or the BB. seems like they'd make some kind of move with a set or two pair, or even a quality combo draw. i think the weak lead screams a draw too, maybe an improved one that picked up diamonds on the turn. how bad is it to make it $210 and bail to further action? anyhow, i probably freeze up, stare at my screen a bit, exhale and mutter 'whatever' and fold. |

Re: weird TPGK in multiway pot
wow are ppl really trying to make arguments for shoving??
just fold... |
Re: weird TPGK in multiway pot
BB almost certainly has a draw, but it's just too likely someone behind you has you beat.
It'd be quite sick if you shoved and got giggy or other guy to fold KQ, and you'd be my hero if you tried this. |
Re: weird TPGK in multiway pot
To all those who think pushing is so awful - of all the times you would call PF and the flop as UTG+1 or the button, how often would you call a push by hero on the turn? Would you call KQ? I think a KQ call is fecking afwul in their shoes and if they have a made hand it's something like that a tonne.
I'm not really sure I like a push, it depends so much on BB, but it's at least a serious option. |
Re: weird TPGK in multiway pot
the more rational the players are behind you, the more i like a shove (or at least some sort of raise) because it's unlikely they have you beat, and BB almost has to have a draw here. a lot of assumptions though.
that said, folding isn't that bad TBH |
