rebuyboy 09-03-2006 04:29 PM

Re: Stars 1/2nl

what about raaif, badbeatsRus and He11o, Jerry (or is it just 6max?)

beck_AA also plays there sometimes too.

TheJS87 09-03-2006 04:40 PM

Re: Stars 1/2nl

im mainly talking about 6max here btw so if you want to specify what each reg plays then that would be cool

Ness3 09-03-2006 05:03 PM

Re: Stars 1/2nl

geez i played a good amount of 1/2NL on stars and don't recognize most of these names. some of these guys player higher as well (redargoe, ninja thief, viceroy).

NinjaThief seems to play okay.

TheJS87 09-04-2006 12:00 AM

Re: Stars 1/2nl

nutzinmyhand
pokersoccer

Re: Stars 1/2nl

if the stars 200nl has this many "good" players, and you are not using "good" to mean "knows the ranking of poker hands" then i would highly recommend switching sites.

jrockhaf 09-04-2006 12:22 AM

Re: Stars 1/2nl

"good" has nothing to do with it. "regulars" is what OP asked about.

*edit- or rather what I was answering.

the_main 09-04-2006 01:01 AM

Re: Stars 1/2nl

That 'the_main' guy is a donkey, he's always around.

In all seriousness, there are very few REALLY GOOD players at 1/2 full ring. Shazmiester is probbaly one of the best, but I've seen him play as high as 600NL (never looked higher). Jrock's list is pretty good for solid regulars, though still exploitable.

jrockhaf 09-04-2006 10:35 AM

Re: Stars 1/2nl

sorry main ,i forgot about u

TheJS87 09-04-2006 12:06 PM

Re: Stars 1/2nl

heres what i think of the players mentioned just off the top of my head not consulting pt or anything
keep in mind i only play 6max

brutefamine no idea
GaRu4Eva ive played with but i think he played shortstsacked sometimes?
grand_frere ive played with but nothing stands out so hes probably pretty nitty
holdemaron pretty solid from what i see
mrpyschos played with but dont remember
MySterie dunno
NinjaThief dunno
Pazzarotti dunno
Pentafixion dunno
Phillroy dunno
J.Tightlips not that good
PokerPete98 dunno much about him
siralos dunno
TbHackworth decent nothing special
Vic3Roy good laggy player but his ridiculously big reraise range pf can be exploited
ZeKGB seems solid, dont really know much about him
redargoe bit of a retard, cannot be bluffed
onepocketpro dunno
Acid Fire i think hes pretty good, one of the better players at 1/2nl 6max
TK's Bane pretty solid
FrinkX dunno
ActionBox decent not that great, doesnt bet big enough
bigredhoss a bit loosepassive, i dont think hes much good
BGnight dunno
asianj dunno
Shanyu i think shanyu is good and solid
waitamin08 no idea
WDG-GCC dunno
jaymzisking decent reg.. probably kinda nitty
tapatapa pretty nitty
MidnightTokr i dont remember any particuar thing about him but i have a negative feeling towards him for some reason
rim-k pretty solid, postflop play is pretty transparent
whattado huge nit ridiculously tight
nutzinmyhand seems solid
pokersoccer pretty decent, pretty aggressive player probably overplays some hands
s-system weaktight nit can be pushed off hands even after he invests a lot
sputnik3000 i think this guy is quite good

yabastid 09-04-2006 01:43 PM

Re: Stars 1/2nl

regulars:

megaluck
aldreas (sp?) 2p2er
wyldpitch TAG from what I've seen (and a nice guy)
SFcellman- seems decent
zdrawcabssa- seems donkish
tr0nni- dunno
oyvindgee- 2p2er
FLA ARNIE- retard
fieryhex1- doesn't seem very good
Bart$impson- dunno

BDaws 09-04-2006 01:49 PM

Re: Stars 1/2nl

I think there are two 2+2rs that aren't on the list: oznol and kukkeli. I don't play stars much, but when I did, I played with them a good bit. Not enough to offer comments about their play though.

Zdrawcabssa is a donk. He limp/calls OOP preflop too much. I have him at like 30/8 I think.

Re: Stars 1/2nl

Has anyone seen WWJD4AKB lately? I had him buddylisted; I think he's a bit of a donk.

Bonesy, AcidFire, onepocketpro and TK's Bane are my votes for the best. Also, Indianfury.

Re: Stars 1/2nl

cmon i wanna here some comments on the guys i listed

-Skeme- 09-04-2006 03:55 PM

Re: Stars 1/2nl

jrockhaf - You seem to have gotten better lately.
homeboy604 - Unimaginative nut peddler, not very good overall, wouldn't do well at higher limits, but can presently beat 1/2 easily.
raiif - Fish. Has no concept of pot odds, pot control and doesn't know what a standard PFR is.
hello, jerry - Clever name, solid for the most part, but plays too many mediocre hands OOP which makes for many difficult river decisions. Seems to be correcting this, though.
nitewin - Fish. Overvalues tons of hands, calls PFR with lots of garbage, too loose. Can beat 1/2, though.
d zoo - Very solid, probably one of the best, frequently plays higher.
praire hawk - Meh, nut peddler who seems to be incapable of making moves, or just chooses not to at 1/2 (wise move).
ahyums - Played solid on the hand I stacked him on. Haven't seen much else, though. Seems decent.
mobster - Meh, haven't played with him very much.
shazmeister - Pretty solid. Very good, IMO.

Re: Stars 1/2nl

no one plays full ring

-Skeme- 09-04-2006 04:05 PM

Re: Stars 1/2nl

I still play full ring. A lot of the average pots at 1/2 FR are higher than 6m. There are tons of tables, as well.

jrockhaf 09-04-2006 04:56 PM

Re: Stars 1/2nl

lol,whats your name on stars?

Gary Stevenson 09-04-2006 05:23 PM

Re: Stars 1/2nl

ouch, did d zoo run really bad at 10-20? he was playing there for a while.

is nite still playing like that skeme? i wonder if he'll ever learn...

shaz seemed decent when i used to play with him, nothing special though.

Gary Stevenson 09-04-2006 05:24 PM

Re: Stars 1/2nl

btw, hello, jerry is such a dumb name. i have no clue what that guy was thinking...what a moran

Any1 have any opinions on my play?

bmanning 09-04-2006 06:31 PM

Re: Stars 1/2nl

some of the regulars i haven't seen listed off the top of my head(full ring mind you). what are your thoughts on these players:

cyberpeogh-gives me trouble always fires pot twice when pfr, i can never get a hand against him
Prairie Hawk-very good
Aragon-nut peddler
hmann33-plays too many suited connectors oop, willing to gamble. seems decent

i agree that D_zoo is among the best...he also told me that he ran bad at 5/10 and moved down. i also agree with what another poster said about the_Main.

I played with you a while back at 100NL I think. Do you still buy-in short? Anyway I remember you limping a lot and not being very aggressive postflop unless you had a big hand.

Re: Stars 1/2nl

What about TheYeti (no not TheYeti on 2p2, Skeme asked that question like a year ago) and Ivanovitch?

this makes me sad that you guys never commented on cnew27, as I played there on and off for a few months.

Also, FWIW, I've won more from prarie hawk than any other player in my 150k database.

Just pulling your chain....i actually enjoy playing with you. by Prairie Hawk being good i just mean that he is not a nut peddler and is not horrible. he is prob 17/7....unlike Yeti........I don't agree that yeti is good at all. He is like 12/2 and doesn't cb unless he has at least top pair or overpair. very easy to play against. also he won't fold his overpair

also blunty, i see you short a lot. don't mean anything by this...just saying

Re: Stars 1/2nl

in my experience at 200nl (like 20k hands ish) on Stars, the toughest there were jrock, pokerpete98, oyvindgee, ktrieu, bonesy, and acidfire. my selection process involves me avoiding being at their table.
