Brag - Buying new car - Infiniti G37
 

I just got a sweet raise/promotion at work that was much more than I was expecting. My Jeep is getting older and it's not as fitting anymore since I can't really drive my clients around in a corporate setting in my beat up Jeep Wrangler.

So I'm splurging and getting an Infiniti G37 fully loaded. I'm in the process of selling my Jeep now (just got it cleaned and detailed today and taking to used car dealerships/CarMax tomorrow to shop around prices). I got all the Fighting Chance documents to help me with the process of buying the new car. I'll be buying one of the last 3 days of the month (2 weeks!). I also just got approved for the loan today, so I'm pretty much good to go.

Well I'm getting it fully loaded. The MSRP for that is about $44k and the dealer invoice price associated with that is about $40k. I haven't made any offers. I'm trying out the Fighting Chance method which basically involves me faxing 8-10 dealerships in the area all the specs on the car I want and having them make offers to me. After doing some preliminary calculations, I'd be happy with an offer around $41k.

ok sorry.. just don't see many infinitis here in Europe. it looks nice... and $40k is like £20k here which obv ain;t enough for decent new German whip.... so i guess it is value for money...

but i just imagine a motoring journo comparing it to the germans and it being slated.

I didn't even know cars with just two doors were available in America. I seriously didn't spot one in 4 1/2 weeks in Vegas this year.

I feel like this is a level, but I feel like someone from the PokerStars staff probably wouldn't be a mean leveller on 2+2, so I'm really just left somewhere in between and feeling like I got completely owned.

Just closed the deal with the dealership. Got a sick deal on the car, especially for being a brand new model.

I got it pretty much fully loaded (minus one package). Invoice for my model/options is $39,500. MSRP is $43,300. I got the car for $40,400, so I'm happy with that. I am picking the car up tomorrow and I'll have pictures.
