Snap folding my flush, super standard? Deep

Guy who shoves hand is hand #2 is a regular (23/16/4) and overly aggro postflop in a lot of spots. Below is one hand we played earlier in the sesh.

CO ($200.65)
Button ($133.14)
SB ($249.01)
BB ($200.40)
Hero ($239.25)
MP ($202)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. CO posts a blind of $1.
Hero raises to $4, 4 folds, BB calls $3.

Flop: ($8.50) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks.

Turn: ($8.50) 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB bets $5, Hero raises to $18, BB calls $13.

River: ($44.50) 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $35, BB raises to $123, Hero raises to $217.25, BB calls $55.40 (All-In).

Final Pot: $401.30
Villain had 32hh
I threebet this hand because in our last session he stacked off for ~150bb w/ TPGK in a 3bet pot.

Anyway here is the hand of interest. No reads on SB. BB is villain from previous hand. Turbo muck this deep right esp given SB's flop coldcall and turn donk?

Button ($34.85)
SB ($185.56)
BB ($805)
Hero ($200)
MP ($214.65)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
Hero raises to $4, 2 folds, SB calls $3.50, BB calls $3.

Flop: ($12) 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, BB bets $7, Hero raises to $23, SB calls $23, BB calls $16.

Turn: ($81) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB bets $42, BB raises to $778, Hero folds(right?)

this definitely isn't a snap-fold

but it's a fold nonetheless.

lol at folding.

Lets see, you raised the flop to get it in if you hit because he stacked of with TPTK somewhat deep in a previous hand. You then bet 1/2 pot on the turn which is all but telling him to raise, he obliges, and you fold?? Again, LOL.

in before "put him on a range" - ok, 33/99/QQ-AA/AQ/KQ/AKd/AJd/ATd/KJd

oh SB bet 1/2 pot and BB shoved...you think he's forcing you out with the nut flush?

Learn to read the hand history before you give the attitude. I want to hear your opinion because I respect you but I didnt donk turn and I pretty clearly said that in the OP since people always seem to miss stuff like that.

EZ fold. Read the hand again Casper. I don't know that BB has the flush. But SB probably does. Somebody does too often imo.

He *might* not have the nut flush, but there's more flushes you lose to that beat. It's quite difficult to come up with 2 hands you beat.

Suigin406 11-19-2007 02:29 PM

Re: Snap folding my flush, super standard? Deep

how far apart are these hands?? how/y is BB betting this much with a big flush??

ugh, sb's range might be smaller than i intially thought tho

Re: Snap folding my flush, super standard? Deep

meh...I don't think it's a snap anything given your read. I think against a different opponent it would definitely be a snap fold but this guy doesn't sound as table aware as he should be and seems to overvalue his hands in a pretty major way. I'm actually not afraid of getting it in vs him because of all of this.

SB makes it more interesting and might be what pushes me over the edge towards mucksville.

This is a very easy fold (if you actually read and understand the action). One of them has you beat almost every time.

why raise the flop

RiverFenix 11-19-2007 08:16 PM

Re: Snap folding my flush, super standard? Deep

Anyway thanks for the replies wanted to make sure I wasnt crazy. I found a fold because the betting on the turn on a diamond seemed like they didnt even care esp after I raised flop. Even the best realistic situations of both their ranges had both of them still drawing live.

Regain the initiative, build a pot (200bbs) if I hit, free card if I decide I want it, keep my hand (draws+made) actions balanced.

Dude, this is fine. Read and think about what RF said. Plus he forgot "Villains will often fold".
