I hate Mcdonalds.
 

I stop at the Mcdonald's on the way home about once a month, and tend to only do so when my fridge is devoid of food. After all Mcdonalds has some of the most god awful food imaginable, why else would someone eat there be it not out of necessity?

So anyway my default breakfast which consists of 4 hashbrowns, 3 sides of egg with cheese, and 3 sides of sausage with cheese usually runs me a little short of $20. Quite a lot for not a lot of food, but I never bothered myself with why.

Well tonight, I stopped there on the way home from a late night/early morning session and I promptly placed my order. On the screen it displayed "Add Cheese .90" underneath all of my orders. WTF.

This is $1.00

I see two slices of cheese, which are each .90. So with a $1.00 purchase you are ordering $1.80 worth of cheese discounting the beef, ketchup, bun, and pickle that go along with it. How could anyone pass up this good offer? Mcdonald's is theoretically giving away food with their awesome dollar menu...or not.

Worst [censored] company in the world. How does a company with such piss poor food and service end up being an industry leader? Please someone explain this to me.

"Lazy" is a better word. The two often go hand in hand.
You can make your own damn food for less than you end up spending on a meal at McDonalds.

I haven't eaten anything from McDonald's in over 5 years.
I haven't eaten anything from McDonald's other than fries or shakes in over 15 years.

I decided when I was still pretty young that McDonald's was a standin for everything that's crappy about the modern world.

You can get frozen french fries for slightly cheaper than McDonald's sells them.
But please tell me how to make a double cheeseburger for $1.

McDonald's tastes good. It doesn't taste great. There are obviously thousands of other restaurants where you can get better food. But not for that price.

Most people who say they hate McDonalds are making a comment about the social class associated with McDonalds and not the taste of the food.

I started my personal boycott of McD's 3 years ago. I am a better person for it.

Holy crap... I usually get a sausage mcmuffin meal with a large OJ, an extra 2 hashbrowns, and if I'm really hungry, a bacon egg and cheese biscuit. I think my meal is huge. Your meal is ridiculously big.

Why don't you just order three Sausage, Egg, and Cheese biscuits and get rid of the biscuits? That sounds like it would be much cheaper.

I haven't been to one in a little over 20yrs. My mom took me there all the time when I was a kid and I definitely loved it. One day when I was 15 I got some McD's and I took a couple bites got really grossed out and haven't been back since. Becoming more conscious of the other stuff didn't happen for me for a few yrs. after that.

I did break down about 6-7 yrs ago and stop in a Burger King. They were really my favorite place to eat when I gave up on the fast food places. So I was driving around one day and the smell hit me, it was really nostalgic for some reason. I got a bacon chsburger+fries took like 2 bites and tossed it out. Barring any unforseen weirdness I don't expect to ever go again.

their shakes are good although they (and almost all fast food places) use artificial flavors, a laundry list of ingredients and no real ice cream.

Yes the shakes sold there are <<<<< real shakes sold most places in the US. Also I used to work there and the way they make them is just all wrong.

daryn, i'm a big guy 6'3" 200lbs, i'm just saying if I ate quantities like that when I went to fast food venues regularly, and I used to eat more than I do now but not even close to that much, I'd weigh 250lbs with in a year.

The chipotle chicken snack wraps are pretty good, and they've got the best fries. Agree their burgers suck tho.

It's good when you're wasted.
It's good when you're baked.
It's good when you're starving.

There are times when I like it, but pay for it later w/ explosive diahrea, but it isn't always the worst food I've tasted. If you get lucky and get some fries right out of the frier and a couple of fresh double cheesburgers or McChickens it can be suprisingly good. But, what do you really expect when you can get 2 double cheeseburgers, a McChicken, Fries, and a soda for under $6.

OP, just get the value meals instead of all of that and I'm sure it would be <$10 instead of <$20.
