Beat:I punched a guy a couple of times, and now I'm going to jail for 3 months.

No he got some tooth injury but I had a prior conviction of 1 month jail time I didnt have to serve about 4 years ago.

Step Eight
If someone hits you, hit them back. NO MATTER WHAT! This might be the single most important survival tip for jail. Don't go looking for fights by any means but if someone clocks you, hit them back until you just cant hit anymore. Its not the fact whether you win or lose, its about respect. If you let someone abuse you, it wont stop. Picture the elementary school bully who takes the same kid's lunch everyday ... except these guys will take more than your lunch.

Yeah I picked up on that one too but that's the the thing that got me in trouble in the first place [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] I can just see that happening and they add 6 months to my time! Never the less I AM gonna follow that advice...

...First, comes the cafeteria visits. You have to find someone to sit with and put up with. I found a few guys that didn't look affiliated with anyone or anything. The rest of the prisoners wanted nothing to do with them. This should've been a sign, but I was not a very exprienced inmate and missed what should've been obvious. One guy I ate with frequently was a smallish white dude, younger than me. It just so happened he killed his entire family with a hammer when he was 16.

please be like the guy on lock up san quentin who was put in jail for 2 months when he was 18 and kept getting time tacked on and is now 37. PLEASE let this guy be a role model...and make sure and update us on the progress.
