yay or nay on cakepoker

Was about to site hop, and spread some of my roll out.
was wondering for US players who want to get rakeback, where to go other than FTP

I do not like the UB software or gameplay that much, at least not attached to it. But was wondering about cakepoker.com and wondering about anyone who has a rakeback situation with them, and gameplay experience..
Comments on this are greatly aprreciated
hope it was posted correctly

TY

Definitely the wrong forum. Try Internet Gambling or Beginners Questions or even BBV.

how much of a roll, what limits, what are you looking for, etc. what matters more than other factors? OP youre being way too vague

not much traffic, so game selection is poor, but tbh, the games aren't all that bad, it's not too hard to clear that bonus either

Just finished $600 worth of bonus there last night and I will be withdrawing it all once my rakeback for the month of Sept. is credited to my account at the beginning of Oct. Site probably has roughly 2500+ players at peak times. Usually 10+ 6-max $50NL and 100NL tables at peak times. Players for the most part are pretty bad with a few regulars. Software sucks if you multitable more than a couple games. No PokerTracker. Rewards program sucks. Rakeback and bonuses are a definite plus. Overall I might consider keeping some money on there if their software didn't suck so much, but won't because of it.

It's horrible. Even the lower levels are full of insanely good TAGs who will take all your moniez. The software sucks. The bonus clears slower than UB. You'll gain 100 pounds just looking at all the pictures of cake on the site.

In other words, stay away from my fishing hole.

A loud NAY. The software looks like it was concieved by 10 yr olds. No reload bonuses to speak off. The female avatars all look like hooters waitresses ( very distracting). In other words......it sucks

The player base is small, but it's growing pretty quickly and the players are pretty bad. PokerTracker is banned (only site I can think of that bans PT) and every forum I visit gets frequent complaints about whatever bugs, disconnects, and crashes Cake is experiencing at the time.

Can you resize tables at cake? I haven't played around with it at all.

jesus, i forgot how bad the software was. I remember players being poor, but the software is so cr*p.

I played a tourney there today and couldn't get the tourney lobby to open late on, so i was playing blind - not knowing how many left etc. And yeh, you don't get good notification there. Total BS

software really SUCKS!

it was good for a while.

bonus does not clear slower than ub. i can clear 30$ multi tabling .25-.50 nlh em for a few hours.

at ub it would take, uh forever to clear same amount at same limits.

I really like the way the system can lag out when you're the SB, and thus erase your play for the entire orbit for you unless you post . . . note, this is with "Post blinds" auto-checked. Jesus christ.

This is one of endless bugs they have had a year to fix but still have not. The new update made the place laggy and buggy just when the place had finally become stable.

Re: yay or nay on cakepoker

I tried 5 times to enter a tourney tonight and the lobby was lagging so bad I eventually just gave up.

There was a point earlier this year when >75% of my roll was on Cake, now I keep less than 10% on there. The lagging is somewhat better, but the software is still terrible.

They did 3 updates since the 28th and i think the last one (10-1 late) seemed to fix the lag problems. I play on sportsbook but they r the same network so I might be wrong. wish i was at cake though -faster cashouts and rakeback.

I've been multitabling the 1-2 & 2-4 nl games about six hours a day for the past month and everything bad that everyone says about the site is true.

Move along now. Nothing more to see here.

I'll keep tabs on the situation and report back if it improves.

Is anyone else having trouble with random tables becoming nonresponsive? This is happening 2-3 times an hour and is beginning to get annoying. Shutting down and restarting is the only thing I can do.
