Guess # of 2007 WSOP Main Event Entries win $50
 

There has been alot of speculation as to whether or not the recent legislation will greatly reduce the number of WSOP Main Event entries this year. So I thought it would be fun to have a contest to see who can guess the number. The rules are simple, between now and July 1st, enter a guess in this thread as to the total number of entrants to the 2007 WSOP Main Event, scheduled to begin on July 6, 2007. You may enter only one guess. No guess can be duplicated (Unless you want to split the $50 with a number of other people). You must be the closest without going over. I will deposit the prize into your Full Tilt, PokerStars, or Ultimate Bet account on July 7, 2007.

yeah you wouldn't want to decrease your EV from $0.02 to $0.01

9000 bang on for a couple of reasons:

1. as the number of entrants has been gradually increasing over the past few years, im gonna go with it stays around the same as 2006 cause of the legislation etc.
2. it says on the site that day 1A, 1B and 1C are 3000 max. i expect it to fill up.

1. Yeah, it's early, but the closer you get, the fewer valid guesses remain to be taken. 2. It's my understanding that sites can only credit the buy-in $$ to players' account. Any guesses as to the percentage of that won buy-in money that actually makes it to the ME?
