If you had to invest $1,000,000 of your money on ONE poker player...

Okay so you have $1,000,000 in your pocket right now. Unfortunately you cannot keep the money, instead you must invest the entire amount into a well known poker player (should have been on tv or won a major tournament at some point). After one year you will split profits 50/50 but if they lose money, you lose money.

Do not consider the person's other gambling vices etc. The million can only be spent playing proper tournament forms of poker (they can't piss away half the bankroll in one night playing chinese variants).

With this in mind, who do you think is the best investment out there and what is your reasoning?

I said well known player from tv or live tournaments for a reason haha. I know the safe bet is a reliable high stakes online grinder. But that is a boring discussion.

The top pros can play with such reckless abondon, praying for a double up early, with their own money. HOW FLIPPANT DO YOU THINK THEY WOULD BE WITH A MILLION DOLLAR FREEROLL? I know where you were trying to go with this OP, but the premise is flawed. Guys that will bet hundreds of thousands of dollars on a coinflip does not mean $1,000,000 freeroll will produce their best play. Having said this, and accepting the flawed system either Ferguson, Greenstein, or Lederer.

Re: If you had to invest $1,000,000 of your money on ONE poker player.

If I had a million dollars, first, I would pay off my law school loans. Then, I would head to Amsterdam for two months and "get lost" in the red light district. I'd come home and take OP's mother on a date and have her moan on my lap in my stretch Limo. Then I'd go to AC and I'd play craps and smoke more crunk and eat steaks and play more craps. Then I'd go to the village and buy a loft and sleep with bohemian girls who claim they don't care about money until someone with money invites them to their loft for crunk and oral sex, smoke some more crunk and hump OP's mother again and then I'd play in some tournaments myself, basically so I can find Jaime Gold and, with a running start, fly into his chair so that my crotch collides into his face (knocking his glasses off, of course) before he tumbles the floor. I'd stand there and yell out "Go Gold," before going back to my table.

So I guess I'd invest in myself.
