What city are you in? Unless you are in a big city/capital city this is [censored] and even then it still might be. You went in for child support which means you'd be in the least violent block, with DUI/Minor Drug possession guys/Contempt of court people/ and anyone else. They wouldn't have gangs in the least violent block, where most people are having very short stays.

This guy ain't been to jail. I been in da slamma a couple times on short stays. First night in (picked up on dui) a dude was throwin orange peels at me. I was ingnoring it tryin to pass out then he hit this little korean guy next to me who took a stand and was clearly some sort of martial arts master. He wooped this guys ass and then was hopping around liek a ninja. No BS. All the guards came in after him this guy didn't speak english and freaked out even more when they touched him and he kicked 4 guards asses.

I then went back a year and a half later on a 2nd dui charge and people were still talking bout this dude.

This is a more general question: How are there so many huge motherf'ers in prison if the food is so bad? I know they have all day to work out, but you gotta eat big to get big.

actually thats a good question.. never put that together but i have noticed there are a lot of really big dudes in jail (from watching lock up on cnbc)

Buy food at the commissary or get stuff mailed/delivered to you by visitors. Trade other people goods/services for food.

This is an easy question. The food there is terrible tasting, but not terrible for you (for the most part). It can be a shock to your system if you are used to eatting unhealthy. When I left jail, I went straight to McDonalds and got a double cheezeburger. Ate it in about 1 minute, then threw up all over the place. The reason some folks get so big, is that all they do is work out, while eating food that does not make you fat.
