Level\'ing, the basics
This clip demonstrates the following levels. The paranthesis indicate how many times the levels of thinking were demonstrated
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TUee1WvtQZU Level 1 thinking (3) Level 2 thinking (3) Level 3 thinking (1) Level 4 thinking (1) Level 5 thinking (1, liek woah) P.S. I consider myself to be a Sicilian |
Re: Level\'ing, the basics
Level 5 could be level 7 here, depending on your perspective
|
Re: Level\'ing, the basics
this is referenced by mafiascum.net in the "Wine in front of me" argument
they say it's a BS tactic that villagers shouldn't use and that mafia use to confuse the town |

[ QUOTE ] they say it's a BS tactic that villagers shouldn't use [/ QUOTE ] this is why they are at least a year behind 2+2 [/ QUOTE ] meh, I just see it as different games. one is pretty LAG, one is fairly weak tight. you can't use the same tactics in both games. I don't think anyone knows enough about WW to say that the overall "EV" of one style would be higher objectively though - it's all about what people will/won't lynch you for, etc IMO. |
Re: Level\'ing, the basics
Wolves have to level. Wolves absolutely need to level. Most wolves on here clear villagers way too quickly, that's why you need to level.
On top of that, villagers should be leveling, but using the big threat they have (the seer). Those are the big things where you have to metagame. Other than that, I don't think it's necessary, but it really isn't harmful. |
Re: Level\'ing, the basics
No, it's pretty easy to demonstrate that one is better than the other. Just a player willing to bluff becomes a much stronger poker opponent than one who never bluffs, a werewolf player who will play on multiple levels is a much more difficult opponent to defeat than a straghtforward player.

[/ QUOTE ] Yeah, but the thing is, there's no value-bet in werewolf (other than, of course, using the seer). |

Re: Level\'ing, the basics
Fine, fine.
I know my first sentence is correct. The second thing is about threatening seer peeks, using the seer as a tool to pwn wolves. I don't see what's bad about that? Edit: Or are you responding to Luckay? |

Re: Level\'ing, the basics
I'm responding to this thread and others like it that are propagating the lol that is village
|
Re: Level\'ing, the basics
but this thread is not about levelling as a village
it is showing that you must find the levelling wolves, and that the wolves should level |
Re: Level\'ing, the basics
Levelling as village: I'm Spartacus!
I'm not sure WHO I'd vote for in the final three! |

it is showing that you must find the levelling wolves, and that the wolves should level [/ QUOTE ] And concentrating on leveling is a waste of time because its impossible to know what levels the wolves are on or when they change levels. This is also why I preach sound logic and logical analysis because it doesn't lead you into this pointless train of thought. But no one listens to me and I'm slowly drifting away from POG anywho so carry on in your insanity. |
Re: Level\'ing, the basics
QF gt1t. Unless wolves are on level 1, you shouldn't pay attention to what they do.
Level 1 tells are, by far, the most reliable ones. |
Re: Level\'ing, the basics
I think at POG you don't make a big mistake if you ignore all deliberate actions of wolves that aren't mandatory seer hunts.

Re: Level\'ing, the basics
We should get Matty Sklansky in here to give us tips, this rollback was easily 4th level
|
Re: Level\'ing, the basics
It was specifically due to the information and gems hidden in this thread that the rollback occured.
