i really cant put him on a hand...
I just cant see him not raising a hand like 9Thh or something somewhere, or a set....
I'm so confused I call. I play 50NL so dont worry about me.

Re: tourney donk needs your help - hand 1

looks like the river made his hand, if he had a hand, since he'd have played a set on the flop or turn more aggressively(with so many draws out there)
he played it like he could have 910(no hearts), don't think pocket sixes call the turn
also, bet the flop
IMO he has air

River is a fold but it should go check/call since you showed so much weakness. I think you played it fine up until then though.

does he really check flop with 9T after you checked an A high flop? I think he would autobet at it with any sort of draw. He might check a set though. Any idea at all how he would or most people in this game would play those hands when the prf checks an A high flop?

Is flop a whiffed c/r? Why no lead?

Re: tourney donk needs your help - hand 1

IMO a rvr fold would have been much easier had you bet the flop.

I'll bet flop here.

On river, bet about 600, call raise to 1800, fold to all in.
As played, your river bet represents exactly what you have, making it more enticing for villain to push you off with worse hand, and you only have to fold a little more than 2/3 of time. IMO, if you bet 600, he's less likely to get crazy with hand you beat and just calls if he has something like 78/76/worse Ace, or just folds his 56.

Why no flop bet?

Re: tourney donk needs your help - hand 1

I like the flop check if you didn't have the nut flush draw....look at the hand you have on the turn and look how much money is in the pot......river - as played, if this is never a bluff by villain you just have to estimate how often this is ever a smaller two-pair....probably not often, but that I don't know....

this is terrible. there are so many hands that check behind that would call a bet on the river. you really want to check the river given the flop check?

Re: tourney donk needs your help - hand 1

i guess i will mention that checking the flop here is not a matter of policy and i would probably bet it most of the time

you're not fooling anyone with that flop check

this is pretty much an autobet board for a preflop raiser

I disagree.

Hero is so obviously weak that a good player should shove this river all day long. Why open ourselves up to that? We're going to bet the river, why? Full pot? So he can fold his weak ace, mid pair, missed draw? No...we should be checking so villian can bluff because he likely won't call with his the majority of his hand range.

Another alternative would be a very weak block bet, like $300ish. But I don't care too much for that.

please destroy this flop with monies. ure equity is HUUUGE here. as playd i think u may be stuck calling here? idk, the fact that u didnt bet the flop really confuses me here on what villain could have. T9 maybe, but idk if i would assume my implied were there enough of the time since u checkd the flop, if i were villain.

Forgive me ok? I did. In my state of doing six-million things at once, I was thinking we had AJ, not AQ (OP's name stuck in my head I guess).

Call and screw everything I said.

It looks like he hit something big. You played hand so weak it is hard to tell. I fold or call depending on your read of the guy but I agree that you should have bet that flop Hard. You seriously underrepresented your hand which makes me want to call even more...but, as played, maybe a fold is in order.
