2-0 already. Can we go 162-0? Is Ben Sheets the greatest pitcher ever? Will the Italian Sausage dominate this year?

Cheer the Brewers on to their first World Series in 25 years, cuz we are winning the NL this year.

Also:

Boo Cardinals
Boo Cubs
Boo Astros
Boo Reds
Boo Pirates

I'm pumped. People have been picking us as a sleeper for a couple years now, but when Gammons does, I start to believe.

I enjoy watching this team play. From what I've seen so far, I think they have a better team than the Cards, Astros, and Cubs, so who knows?

Brewers are +426 to win the NL Central on WSEX, +1150 to win the NL, and +3233 to win the World Series

On tradesports its +426 for division, +1718 for NL, and +3900 to win the World Series

The bettors are sleeping on the Brewers, get in now before everyone realizes their awesomeness.

Yeah. I grew up with no local team and no baseball on TV. Sometime in high school (mid 90s), I decided that it was unacceptable for a guy my age to not have a baseball team. So I decided to pick one. The "local" team is the Red Sox but I felt like you couldn't just become a Sox fan, plus I hate the DH. The closest team geographically was actually the Expos (which would have been convenient, now that I live in DC), but Montreal is in Canada. So I more or less randomly picked the Brewers, a team of which I knew I wouldn't be accused of jumping on the bandwagon. Along with fantasy, this young team is the only reason I keep even a minor interest in the game. It generally bores me.

you should've posted this a couple months ago.

I am a Cubs fan, but the Brewers are infinitely more likeable so I wouldn't mind at all if they won the league. Plus, they've been my pick to win the division the last TWO [censored] years so they might as well win it now that I don't have any money on it.

Ever since he picked Bobby Crosby to win AL MVP last year I stopped believing in him.

Also, why does JJ Hardy play? Moving Hall to the infield would probably make defense better and you could put a better hitter in the outfield. I dont mind the Brewers and Pirates, and I hate all the other teams so lets go Brewers.

Brewers win 2 games in 1 day to be tied for 1st in Central. GO GO GO BREWERS!!!

Jenkins is surprisingly off to an amazing start and the pitching staff looks as good as advertised so far, for the most part.

Re: **Official 2007 GO GO GO Brewers! Thread**

The Brewers end April at 16-9, 1st place in the NL Central by 3.5 games, and tied for the 2nd best record in all of baseball. Pitching staff is looking awesome, and the Brewers offense actually looks like it may have finally learned how to hit.

Current Brewers Odds:

WSEX - +244 to win NLC, +900 to win NLCS, and +2400 to win World Series

Tradesports - +194 to win NLC, +1076 to win NLCS, and +2757 to win World Series

GO GO GO BREWERS!!!

Isn't there some kind of rule about picking the Brewers for anything before the All-Star break?

That being said, GO BREW!

I have a love/hate relationship with the Cubs and I've been having an affair with Milwaukee for 3-4 years now. Growing up a fan of the worst run team in the sport is tough. At least Oakland has been my 2nd team since around '97/'98.

The avatar is more a recognition of how [censored] awesome Rich Hill is and a brag on myself about not giving up on him when a bunch of idiots were throwing around the AAAA label...

Plus, Sheets is [censored] awesome and I want to see him do well. Of course he's on my keeper league team.

Would I rather see Chicago win the division? Sure, I guess, but I'd feel a bit awkward about it. They don't deserve it.

I plan on going to the Brewers game in Atlanta on Sunday. Hopefully Sheets took himself out as a precaution like he did earlier this year and will be good to go that day. It will be my 10-month old's first baseball game.

I'll be disappointed if the Brewers don't win the division, but I'm having a blast watching this unfold. I really didn't think the Brewers would have a chance to make the playoffs in my lifetime after they narrowly missed in 1992.

I've been more of a Packers fan the last several years, but the Brewers were my first love and even as they've sucked the last 15 years, I have still followed almost every game.

Unfortunately, my earliest Brewer memories were from 1982, so it has been all downhill from there.

If not for David Weathers, we'd be one up!

Last night was brutal. I was watching the Yahoo! gamecast and I fell asleep in the bottom of the ninth with it 6-4 and Weathers coming on (I had taken a redeye back from Vegas so I crashed early). Discovering that he blew a two-run lead helped ruin my morning (my 0-4 week in fantasy football did the rest of the job).

Your Cardinals broke my 6-year-old heart in 1982. I finally got over my grudge a couple years ago. Of course, now we're in the same division, so I can hate them all over again if I please. A good way for them to stay in my good graces would be to let the Brewers sweep them next week.
