Is Jerry Yang gonna play anymore or what?
 

OK we all know he was playing $20 satellites or whatever but when is this guy gonna play some real tournaments or cash games?

There have been a more than a few big events and he is nowhere to be seen.

He's got like one million kids, and obv just has time to go to pechanga and not fly around the world pretending he's +ev in 10k buy-ins.

Respect to him if he doesn't feel he has to prove anything. It's a shame though we'll be spared the usual tournament reporting of this, which is, huge one-off winner plays every single event trying to prove something, finally FTs one after about 200 goes and then it's "X shows it was no fluke !!"

i've said it before -- the appropriate time for these prayers
is BEFORE you make your decision. i can't imagine God up there
mystically rearranging the deck on the fly as he listens to
their prayers, calculating sincerity, intentions, etc...

You guys can bust Jamie Gold's chops all you want, and yes he is a douche but at least he's giving back the money. Although he's just giving it to the top of the pyramid. Poker is a steep pyramid. All those big tournaments do is funnel it up even faster. Gold will go busto at the highest stakes before he drops back down.

Yang wasn't good for poker but unfortunately individual tournaments have alot more luck than skill so you eventually are gonna get some ignorant luckbox who may take the money and disappear.

He played a bunch of the Caesars classic events and I heard he was at several of the Binions Open events also.

However, do be aware that "The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the LORD" (Prov 16:33). Something to think about next time you get a bad beat.
