this was in response to Mat's email and thread I'm not going to post it in the lounge.


I am not dead and I apologize for causing anyone to worry. I feel very regretful and guilty for disappearing. I felt like I was drowning, everything was seeming to go wrong and I got scared and just left everyone. I am now trying to get my life put back together. I want to make everything right but I need to get a lot of things cleaned up and straightened out and it is taking a lot of hard work. Part of that was getting away from my environment including my family, other influences, poker, the internet and even 2p2 so I can focus on making good choices and doing something with my life. I am very very sorry that I let so many people down who were incredibly supportive and kind to me. While I have problems, problems I am working there are no excuses. I won't ask for forgiveness only time and a little understanding.

Good luck with getting everything together. Regardless of any poor choices you may have made in the past, it takes a lot of guts to take stock and try to turn things around.

Sometimes you need to just allow yourself to focus on a few things to avoid ending up like John Coffey. "It's like bees stinging me."

That includes noise, which internet forums have a tendency to be.

From what I know, you're relatively young. Don't dwell on past mistakes. We all make them. Kudos to you for making an effort to make positive changes.

We have a saying here in Nigeria: "When the hyenas cackle by the light of the full moon it is time to move on to an area that has not so many hyenas because they are foul creatures that get into your garbage if you don't put the lids on tight enough." So while I am sorry you heard the hyenas ok, it's probably better you have moved on.
