Quick Prop Bet Question

High school senior who plays on soccer team, but nothing extroadinary. I bet he can't make 1 in 3 from 31 yard line. We're going in about 10min so is this +EV or should i try to change the bet a little. He also gets around 5 warm-ups and kicks it off a Tee.
side note- 1-1 for $400

he will beat you in this bet. do not do it.. unless by not extraordinary you mean AWFUL. i was pretty decent, and i could hit 10/10 from the 31 without ever having kicked a football in my life before. same goes for most of my teammates. its much easier for a soccer player than you would think

I personally think he can't get the distance without compromising accuracy. I'm gunna go with the bet and hope for the best, oh another note. P.E. class could be on the track while kicking so could make him nervous.

unless this is an angle shoot where you're hoping he makes more than one out of three and then you hit him with hahahaha, i said make one of out of three not three of three and beat him up and take his money this is a horribly stupid bet for you. and even if it is an angleshoot, he'll probably stop kicking after he makes the first one so you still lose.

so yea, change the terms, cause you're going to lose your $400 otherwise.

41 yard field goal seems pretty hard, without warmups if hes never done it before id say you were gold, but giving him warmups prolly makes it -EV I would think.

31 yards are you kidding?
Prob betting in 'soccer' is like who can hit the crossbar first from the half way line and stuff, not who can get the ball in the net from 31 yards, rofl...

I think he means he is kicking a field goal with a football. At least I hope so, otherwise its ungodly stupid. I havent played soccer since 4th grade recess and even I could put a soccer ball in the net from 31 yars away

Re: Quick Prop Bet Question

this is retarded, i could kick a 35 yard field go in practice without ever tryin it before.

We had a tryout for our kicker(all soccer players) and most of them could hit 40 yards consistantly with nobody in front trying to block it.

One kid was hitting 50( a lot harder with a line though so his range was probably 40-45)

Re: Quick Prop Bet Question

Update:
He made it once out of 3 and won.
He was kicking a football with no tee from 31 yard line (making it roughly 40ish).
I gave him to many warm-ups in =/. 3 punts, 1 from 20 he made, 2 from 25 (he made 1) 1 from 30 he was foot short.
Then he kicked for real.
Kick #1- Completely wiffed straight left no shot in hell. Pretty sure nerves of $400 got to him.
Kick #2- Little better but still far left. After this one im overly confident and even start holding the ball better for him.
Kick #3- Our spotter said "it's a maybe, not sure". It was honestly to close to call. He begged for 2 more shots (I can tell he was worried), but he just got 1 more.\
Kick #3 (b)- A beaut straight through 15 yards deep into the post. Oh well he deserved it I suppose.
I guess if I gave him less warm-ups I had this in the bag, most of you however are overestimating 6ft-white-male-17 year olds when kicking footballs.
