Re: Poker books
Theory of Poker is a general overview book - how to think about the game.
Next two books are dedicated to cash NL Last two are tournament NL, but are very comprehensive, with a ton of insight into Dan's thought patterns throughout a hand. They helped me as much as any book has. |

Super System is a pretty decent read, but it will screw you up beyond comprehension if you don't have a firm grounding in NLHE strategy beforehand. |

Re: Poker books
OP, the 5 recommended books are all very good, but you might want to consider getting Sit'n'Go Strategy from Collin Moshman if you plan on playing STT. The Theory of Poker is a must read, but I would read a couple of other books beforehand.

Re: Poker books
Thanks for all the advice. Theory of Poker is top of my list. Im a strictly cash game player at the moment as im trying to build my roll and was thinking about getting Small stakes hold em as im playing 50nl. Is it worth getting? Iv read supersystem and all i got from it was to be aggressive and C-bet alot. Iv learned more from being around these forums.

Re: Poker books
Small Stakes Hold'em is a LIMIT hold'em book.

Re: Poker books
I'm no poker god so take this for what it's worth but Super System is over rated from a NL hold'em perspective. Just my worthless opinion.
