Someone explain this before I put a bullet in my head
5+1 Rebuy at Party, final 3 tables
Above average stack What should I have done? Reraised all in? I wanted a call, but how should I have read the early limper? I Understand that pushing AI would have probably avoided this massacre, but was there any way at all I could have expected this? #Game No : 3363511255 ***** Hand History for Game 3363511255 ***** NL Texas Hold'em Trny:19156423 Level:14 Blinds (1000/2000) - Friday, January 13, 10:17:13 ET 2006 Table Multi-Table R&A(567320) Table #2 (Real Money) Seat 10 is the button Total number of players : 10 Seat 3: allenkey ( $4180 ) Seat 8: Kadebullet ( $13458 ) Seat 9: pennpal ( $52184 ) Seat 6: acmsl ( $14215 ) Seat 7: dbarfarms ( $40819 ) Seat 4: silverdog111 ( $41020 ) Seat 1: nsanityxpres ( $49780 ) Seat 5: RegW02 ( $26005 ) Seat 2: RisingShark ( $23026 ) Seat 10: fastmir ( $72404 ) Trny:19156423 Level:14 Blinds (1000/2000) ** Dealing down cards ** Dealt to pennpal [ K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ] allenkey folds. silverdog111 calls [2000]. I crashed on the next hand where i pushed QJ, got called by QT, and watched the last of my stack get sucked out. Winner took around 1.6k. What should I have done/would you have done? How do you treat early position players like this? ...I need a break. |

You play it the same way and your hand holds up.

Fold preflop

Fold preflop [/ QUOTE ] and then move up to higher stakes. |
Re: Someone explain this before I put a bullet in my head
after 2 limpers you only raises 4xBB. You could open raise 4xBB with no limpers, but with them there, you need to bump up that raise more to atleast 6xBB (T12000), maybe even 13-14,000.
After that small stack went all-in, you had the right idea to reraise, but again, you should have done it bigger. |
Re: Someone explain this before I put a bullet in my head
Push the RR preflop

When Kadebullet reopens the betting, RAISE ALL IN.
No brainer. |
Re: Someone explain this before I put a bullet in my head
You could have reraised more preflop after the all-in took place though I doubt that would help. The guy was willing to risk 40% of his chips preflop against THREE raises which should have told him his QT might have been the worst hand by a lot. And the fact that he did it against one of the few players at the table that could bust him was just icing on the cake.
This guy might have called off 50 even 60% of his stack here preflop and that's exactly what you want him to do. It's bad luck here, nothing more. |
