What should he and Churchill have done differently?

[/ QUOTE ]

Not going to comment on Churchill, but FDR should have stayed out of the war in the first place.

And Woodrow Wilson before him.

Meanwhile, in the war we were. And now they're meeting at Yalta to decide about what's what post-war. What options did Roosevelt have that he didn't pursue at Yalta?

Bill Clinton. But I am probably biased as I have read - and enjoyed - his biography.

I agree on the comment regarding perspectives. However, I am willing to argue that in 50 years time, if nothing dramatic happens during that time, GWB will be known as the worst US President of all time.

Also, if a good amount of experts turn out to be right about climate issues, then Al Gore might very well be considered the best (in terms of positive influence) "President" there ever was a few decades down the line.

If the U.S. doesn't join WWII...there is certainly a non-zero possibility that the USSR would have won the cold war (control of Japan) and, of course, a non-zero chance that we would all be speaking German right now.

If I would have played 27o against my opponents aces all in, I would have hit 2 pair.
