Yeah, seeing as how the voting's over, I suppose I can give my critique now (though risking the voting being open, my paint being outed, etc. etc.)

Raptor Christ, there was way too much text. I don't want to tell people how to draw up their own MSPaints, but I'll admit that a few of these I just skimmed right through because I'm not going to read through "LOL DIDS EATS PIGS OMG LDO ROFLCOPTER" (not a reference to any specific paint, please be not offended).

WTF it takes like 10 min to read them all, but a few were a little long and boring imo.

Yes, several of them do have a lot of text (mine does not, so I'm not defending myself here), but don't you think that if they were standing alone, and not there as one of 21 different things you had to read, the amount of text would not be as much of a burden?

Honestly, no. When people post random MSPaints or Photoshops with a [censored] ton of words (or even way too much in the scene), it's really hard to try and take it all in. Think about most of the "classic" images on 2p2, they're all pretty simple and funny within 5 seconds.

But seriously, there were 72 votes cast in the Best Overall poll, so it seems like half of the voters just didn't bother picking one for each of the 12 matchups; they just found their favorite, voted for that, and went about their way. Which is fine.

Well, you have a point. I've never been a fan of the kitchen-sink approach either. I guess I'm just saying that when combined with 20 other ones, the annoyance of the over-stuffedness is intensified and the impact of the comedy is diluted.
