To repay us you guys should have Watford come over here and play Birmingham City or something. That would be about the caliber of teams we sent over there.

wrt the surface issues - what is the surface of a real NFL pitch like? Is it actually grass? Looks like some sort of astro-turf or something.

Not really answering your point, anyway

I watched a match either last summer or the summer before between the National Soccer League or whatever you guys call it Allstars team against Fulham. I forget the result but Fulham is a pretty average Premiership club at best and they at least held their own against the best you guys had to offer.

Not a personal attack on US Soccer, its just a really underdeveloped sport because you accepted long ago you were bad at it and didnt want to try and improve. Us sending over a couple teams to play there wouldnt make any difference - as apose to the NFL game in London which increased the publicity of a game that is pretty niche over here.

Yeah, maybe it wont go down in history as an awesome game, but im sure it did no end of wonders for the popularity of NFL over here.

jay how did you get those tickets, and how much $$$?

[/ QUOTE ]

Signed up to a newsletter on nfluk.com and they sent me an email a couple of days before extra tickets were being released about a month ago. They were about $200 each.

Definitely. I think its kinda lame though because a lot of proper fans couldn't get tickets and from soo many people around me I heard 'wtf is a sack?', 'what's a down?' etc etc. But whatever - if its expanding the sport to people previously ignorant of the sport I guess thats a good thing.
