I had two people come down last year who didn't play any poker and I'd definitely recommend it. They got my ass out of bed and made me go to the beach it was nice to have some non-degens there to help me enjoy the resort.

I did the same, definitely a good idea. The world of online poker was a bit of a shock to them, but in a good way. they did get a little upset when dani burned the $20 bill though.

but yeah, like the other guy said, bring two so they can entertain themselves in case you wanna play poker/play in the tournament.

the only real problem is that I had 3 room cards in room card roulette and got stuck with the $500 dinner bill

For those that haven't tried the steps, I highly recommend them. They add a game element to the daily grind.

I won my way in last year on freeroll..100 FPP...beat 3k people on friday...then top 3 on Sunday got a seat...was chippie leader when it ended. I'll try again this year..hope to qualify....was one great time and met many wonderful people..Keep up the good play guys..hope to see you there!!!

I've been fluctuating through the steps for a few days now, haven't been able to break through yet to Step 6.. went Step 1 -> Step 5, then got 4th in the step 5 for a retry.. then busted out of that and had to start back from down.. so frustrating when you're almost there and then have to start all over again.. now back to step 3 from step 1. Pretty sure made a ton of ICM related mistakes when on the bubble so I have to patch that up.. On the bright side, almost made silver star only from playing the steps so it's a good FPP builder.

To those who have been there last year, is the 1K in credit you get for food enough for 2 people? I'd definitely like to bring someone along if I get a seat but don't want them to pay for much
