Re: SSNL [cheese] thread: SEPT #2

Past few days at 2/4:

Weds
http://s26.photobucket.com/albums/c1...ler2/sep12.jpg

Fri, aka this session:
[ QUOTE ]

1. Lose a lot of money in the first 30 minutes of session to coolers and suckouts
2. Cry
3. Tilt for 10 minutes
4. Regain composure
5. Play 1000 more hands to grind back losses and then a little bit more
6. ???
7. Profit!

This is how the last two days have gone, anyway, verbatim. Today was awful, I got overpairs in against donks with 45+ VPIPs like four times in the first hour of my session and they had me [censored] every time (YEAH LIKE I'M FOLDING ACES VS A 55/20 ON A 77334 BOARD IN UR DREAMS). I was prob stuck 4 buyins in that time, but I built up some solid stacks towards the end and may have won it back.

Losing 1 buyin per 100 hands (aka -50ptbb/100) is not fun! Luckily I snapped out of it. Hands from that nightmarish day:

Can anyone give me advice on buying a car? I got into a retarded accident with a pole at my apartment complex a couple weeks ago, and paying $1600 in repairs for a $3k car is pretty ridic. I was planning on upgrading about a year from now, but at this point I think I'd rather accelerate that plan and trade the current car in.

My car is a Honda Accord, and I <3 it to death so I wouldn't mind sticking with Honda, but since a car is a pretty big purchase I want to make the right choice. If my budget is like $15-$25k and I'm looking for the following, what should I be looking at?
- Good gas mileage
- 4-door (current car is 2-door and it's a bit too small I think)
- Decent stereo, iPod integration would be nice but I guess just running a cable from my iPod into the stereo would work too

Also, how does financing work? I have like $6k in my main bank account right now, with $10k more in other bank accounts and like $25k online; ideally, I'd like to throw down $7-$10k initially and pay off the rest over the course of no more than 1 year. I'm willing to pay a small premium (as far as interest goes) for this service, but by no means do I want to get raped on interest rates.

Lastly, should I consider leasing? Paying like $300/month for a car really doesn't sound like [censored] and I'll probably have a lot more money 3-4 years from now to buy something nicer.

I saw. I think I'm looking to buy new, because even though cars lose half their value when you drive them off etc etc I'm willing to pay extra to not have to deal with purchasing from someone who may or may not be completely full of [censored] when telling me about the car's history.

A couple of those cars def look pretty though.

you can buy some used cars from dealerships that have "certified" used car programs or whatever

then you get some type of warranty as well

doesn't mean they're not full of [censored], but they'll still be there if your car dies in 2 days
