people hate bonds because he's a strong black man that doesnt bow down and kiss ass to YT

funny that in america, the land where people will do anything ethical or unethical to get an edge over competition that some people want to make bonds out to be a pariah

Most people don't know that Maris' record never actually included an asterisk.
Frick issued a statement that the record wouldn't be recognized if it wasn't achieved by game 154. With no official record book at the time it simply didn't matter.
What did matter was how announcing that ruling at the time left people thinking about Maris and his accomplishment.

Right, but I had an unofficial book of baseball statistics and it most certainly included an asterisk. So its not entirely a legend.

A team of San Francisco police officers moved in, extracted Murphy from the crowd, and quickly led him through a tunnel and into a secure room where they threatened his familys life, and took the real ball

the homerun record will be broken numerous times im sure.
wake me up when Cal Ripken Jr's consecutive game record is broken.

First power hitting SS, massive endurance streak, he could never have done steroids. Also while Ripkens records is nice I prefer records which directly correlate with value on the field. That being said Ripken is awesome and one of the five or ten best players of the 90s.
