[ QUOTE ] I wouldn't have a problem with it, but I'm certainly in the minority because I'm a poker playing parent. However, he still wouldn't get off easy with me. I can assure you the next question out my mouth would be, "May I see your PT stats, please?" [/ QUOTE ] Wtf, you're not the IRS. [/ QUOTE ] Wtf, she's my daughter and some dude has ideas of getting in her pants. I'll as ask any [censored] question I damn well please, thank you. |
Re: Meeting Girlfriends Parents/Playing Poker Summer Job
If you're just playing poker for the summer - lie.
If you're planning on playing poker as a living starting now - I'd think about telling them the truth, but I'd probably still lie. Does your gf know? |
Re: Meeting Girlfriends Parents/Playing Poker Summer Job
Just don't care what someone else thinks of your poker playing. If you're a strong, confident person and aren't bashful about playing poker for money people will accept it.

[/ QUOTE ] no, people won't accept it. The connotation of playing poker for a living is roughly the same as being a degenerate gambler for a lot of people. And if you are trying to impress someone, this can be a deal breaker. |
