A smart gambler defines the terms, and thus is not left to any ambiguity. Of course, I don't think there is any ambiguity here, and you could argue that it left you some wiggle room.

Either way, I think you just are not very good at admitting you lost.

If it's 8pm sharp, then you most certainly 100% lose. That erases all ambiguity. 8pm sharp is 8:00:00000000....
