They screwed up when they fired her. You are going to lose every time if a person complains about their work environment (especially if it's sexual harrassment or a race issue) and you respond by firing them. You are absolutely not allowed any retaliation in these cases. They retaliated. I don't care if they had what they thought was a valid reason. I'm sure they have no evidence supporting their firing decision other than someone saying "she told me to lie."

They got what they deserved, mainly for being stupid. I'm not saying her case was hugely meritorious, but they are idiots for their handling of it, and they learned an expensive lesson.
