wow you guys are crazy. i would love to get a bobblehead of myself as a gift, mostly because of that episode. i actually got the dwight bobblehead for my buddy who is into the office as well. i think the kind of girls i date also would love stuff like that...maybe you just don't know your gf too well? people saying its a dumb gift are way off for a lot of girls.

If I wanted to get a gift that would disappoint my women, I can't think of better gift to accomplish that goal better than your dorky gift.

Consider yourself lucky she hasn't dumped you because you are probably clueless in many other way with women as well....

What you should have done was:
1. Buy a REAL gift (a keepsake...NO CANDY!...not too expensive!!!)
2. Buy the bobblehead only as a side present but for god sake do it right. Give them all the pictures they need. Then expect only a laugh and for that gift to hidden in her closet collecting dust after her birthday.

With a keepsake gift, she can tell all her friends what she got. With your dopey gift, they probably laugh at her. Girls like to be proud of their men and show off to their friends. You accomplished the opposite.

Clearly, everyone above doesn't understand the ironclad logic you used to arrive at the always romantic bobble head as a good gift idea, but I get it.

I mean Dwight from The Office LOVED it. He grinned right into the camera, held it up, and proudly announced, "I'm the bobble head!!!" It was a can't miss. SHE HAS BOBBLEHEADS IN HER ROOM!

Just ignore your girlfriend. She's being a bitch. What matters here is how you and all the girls you asked feel about the bobblehead.

No real man spends more than 20 bucks for a gift for a girlfriend. Seriously 100 bucks is what you should spend FOR YOUR WIFE! she is just a girlfriend, they are disposable and in a couple of months you might find yourself looking for a new one. There is no need to spend 100 of your hard earned dollars for a woman you ain't married to.
