Couple of quick Qs from someone who has only played the demo:

- If I can get a good price on GH2 should I just get that? Is there a huge diff between II and III other than the new songs?
- If I get both II and III will I then have two guitars so I can play either game 2 players or are the guitars specific to each game?

GH2 is on sale at Best Buy in my area for 10 bux less. Get both GH2 and GH3 bundles for 2 guitars and both games.

The fingers on my left hand are numb and I can baerly move them. Also, my right wrist feels broken.

Damn you Knights of Cydonia and One.

Went out and traded in the one with the defunct whammy bar and now don't have any problems with it.

Made it through probably half of the songs right now, having fun, although I do agree with an above poster. My fingers are killing me with these new buttons.

So, the new guitar sucks? I should just buy the 360 game (I have the GH2 guitar)?

The GH3 guitar is wireless and takes 2 AA batteries. If that doesn't matter to you much, then just stick with GH2 guitars.

Walked into the local Toys R Us at 11am today (Sunday) and there were 2 Wii GH3 bundles left on the shelf (maybe more in the back).. there were quite a few 360 bundles and a load of PS2 bundles.

Anyway, having never played any GH's before, I love GH3 (I have the Wii version). My arms/hands are tired right now I'm taking a break, but it's as fun as I thought it would be, and I haven't noticed any lag time that others have mentioned earlier in the thread.

Re: Guitar Hero III

A note about the lag. The game actually lets you calibrate the lag since it says that some TVs have a slight delay of the image.

I was running at 66 milliseconds of lag apparently and now its perfect. As I said before though, even with the tiny delay I was able to adjust and play fine. The sound was always synched up anyway, it was just the image of the notes on the screen that were running a tad behind.

BTW.. for any people that have this problem with teh WII version that I had earlier.

If your whammy bar is not working properly, then just restart the system and it should be fine. Basically what I must have done is have the whammy bar pressed in when I was inserting the controller into the guitar, and as a result my bar seemed like it wasn't functioning properly. I took it back and the new one worked fine. Wasn't until I was reading this thread, and the one at GAMEFAQS.com that I realized what was probably happening.
