. . . before the Rams game they were 7th in overall D and weren't a bad defensive team.

[/ QUOTE ]

The Rams had the 22nd ranked Defense according to DVOA (actually just plain VOA at that stage), which is a much more reliable metric than raw yardage totals. After Week 4, they're ranked 28th. Chicago's D is currently ranked 15th, Miami is 29th, and the Giants are 20th (but were probably a lot worse than that in Week 1).

Of course, the four defenses faced by the Pats are now ranked 32nd, 24th, 30th, and 22nd. Part of that has to do with New England torching each of those teams, but still, bad defenses all around against both Brady and Romo (with the exception of Chicago, which itself doesn't seem that good this year).

Just thinking about Moss' start, got me looking back at some Rice stats....

How sick is it that he caught 14 TDs in a 6 game stretch and 22 in a 12 game season?

Kind of disappointing that he only scored 209 TD's...

Hurts his completion percentage a lot, but hes still on pace for the record. Other numbers, of course, are solid.

Moss is the one that really fell off the pace today.

Assani,

Kitna has 980 yards right now. He will end up with 5226 yards to break the record.

Chad Pennington's QB Rating is at 121.4. He too will break the record for QB rating.

Carson Palmer has 9 TD's right now. That means he will be one shy of the TD record.

Manning, McNabb, DelHomme, Roethlisberger, A. Smith, V. Young also have 1 Int this year and will tie Brady for the record...

But that record will be broken by J. Garcia and Garrard who all haven't thrown an Int and will set a new NFL standard of 0 Int's.

Roehtlisberger, Manning, Romo, and Favre are 3-0...tying Brady for the first QB's to win 16 games in a season...wait don't the Cowboys play the Packers and the Pat's and the Pat's play the etc. I dunno, oh well someone is doing dammitt!

Man, what a season for QB's this is going to be, just when I thought it was a league full of average ones!

[/ QUOTE ]

Kitna is only on pace for around 4200 yards now.

Chad Pennington's QB rating is now 89.3(not including today's game I think).

Carson Palmer now has 12 TDs through 5 games....on pace for 38.

None of those QBs you listed in your first group have stayed fully heathy and are still on pace to tie or break the record of only 4 INTs(you would need to have 1 or less right now).

Garrard and Garcia still havn't thrown a pick....very very impressive, and if they go one or two more games without any then I think its start to talk about them and the record.

Down to 2 undefeated QBs. They play (I think in week 9 or 10).

In other words, your point no longer stands. Now lets look at Brady through 6 games:

1771 yards
21 TDs
2 INTs
148/204: 72.55% completion rate
QB rating of 128.7 BEFORE TODAY'S GAME

On pace for 4722 yards, 56 TDs, and 5 INTs....in other words, records still very much in sight.

Its pretty sick to look at his numbers for todays game and then realize that he didn't really even increase his QB rating.

QB rating sucks. Adjusted YPA ftw.

Brady's apparently averaging about 9 adjusted yards per pass. Pretty disgusting.

What was his QB rating for the day? I can't find it listed in any box score and I certainly don't know how to compute it myself.
