ESPN now forcing us to watch an extra long Sportscenter with 'The Blitz' mixed in is just another reason to hate them.

I believe you can thank NBC and the NFL for this.

ESPN lost the right to do a highlight show before the Sunday night game when NBC got the contract for that game.

NBC wanted an exclusive on football highlights for their "Football Night in America" so that was part of the package deal with the NFL.

Jim Lampley is awesome. Dude is sharp. (I'd consider him mainstream sports media).

[censored] Jim Lampley.

[censored] Larry Merchant too.

I suppose you feel the same way about Harold Lederman, right?

FWIW, Lampley >>>>>> Merchant + Lederman

Merchant's definitely the worst on that show. Most of my issues with them involve the chip they have on their shoulder about MMA. I should say that I also like boxing, though I am not heavily into it. I've started watching more boxing since I got into MMA, so they should shut their goddamn mouths about it and let each sport help each other.

Consequently, I really enjoy Max Kellerman.

Of all sportscasters whose fiancee's filed restraining orders against them, Lampley is probably my favorite.
