I suppose his over-the-top delivery and borderline fanaticism is what gets him the popularity.

It does annoy me. About as much as Madden's commentary for the NFL. Doesn't mean I hate either of them.

the thing about madden is every now and then he gets out his little pen and explains some nuance of the game to me that i never understood. the man knows football. he's just senile. vitale has always been the retard that he is.
