Other than the BA, I'm not doing too bad! His BA has been rising the last few weeks, and I continue to expect it to since he's been really scorching the ball. Also, IMO, at the beginning of the year he was running bad by always hitting the ball hard, but right at people. If I were to re-predict, I'd set .312 as his new line for season ending BA.

He batted .340 the whole second half last year. From June 1st through the end of the season he batted .350+. Certainly its not to be expected, but I think "almost impossible" is a little strong.

Why give the stat trolls something to find fault in? If he does something good it's a fluke, according to them, and if he doesn't do something it's what they expected- thus they can't ever be wrong! Which is why it used to be fun to bother them with facts, relevant statistics, etc. but now I just ignore them.

Even if Morneau topped Schneids' line, what are they going to say? 'uh, it was a fluke, won't happen again'. Lol.

he was the MVP, and he was better this year so he's still MVP

I really think, unless he has SIGNIFICANTLY better numbers than whoever is closest, he will not repeat. The powers that be will sway it towards a more glamorous, marketable star.

Hmmm,

Schneids looks to be on pace for those numbers on everything but batting average.

Yesterday's doubleheader line: 6/10, 3 HR, 6R, 9RBI, 1BB, 0K

On the season: .293/.363/.576, 23 HR, 72 RBI (keep in mind the kid missed 5-6 games with some kind of bleeding lung injury)
