White Sox sign Darin Erstad to replace Scott Podsednik (who will be rehabbing a sports hernia surgery for the first part of the year) and/or challenge Brian Anderson in center.

Bleh. We have 2 guys in the minors (Owens and Sweeney) who probably deserve a shot over Erstad. Hopefully they play well in ST.

I forgot to post this earlier.

About 2 weeks ago the LA Times reported that Dallas McPherson will undergo surgery and miss the first half-ish of the season. This is again on his back. The 04 (?) minor league player of the year who was supposed to replace Troy Glaus has yet to complete a full year in the majors. Meeehhhhhhhhhhhh.

I'm close to giving up on D-mac. He obviously has great power but I don't know if he will ever stay healthy enough to prove it in the majors
