MyTurn2Raise...last year you mentioned something about a handicapping contest for this CFB season. Any interest in a 2+2 CFB handicapping contest?

[/ QUOTE ]

yeah....interested, but I don't want to take up much time
I've tried to clear my schedule of things that take time but don't earn me dollars
The whole having a gf means my freetime should go for her quite a bit and not to spending any more hours on football
I view it as a Brag, but many will say it's a beat

alright...I had a change of heart when writing this
we can do some trashtalking thing

yahoo! fantasy has a college pick'em

I've set up a group - 2p2Donkeys
password - Juice

AP top 25 picking verse the spread

they haven't started it up yet, so I'm not sure how it will work and if you can join the group

hopefully, the pick set will be up soon
you're allowed to wait 5 minutes until gametime to pick
also, in the past, games without a line were counted as picking the winner of the game (lame flaw in the system)

[/ QUOTE ]

Are you still doing this? It's asking me for the Group #, not the group name so I can't join.

[/ QUOTE ]

group # is 26204

ACC predictions

I have no idea

You can just draw names out of a hat for the most part

well, I'll give it a try and laugh at myself at the end of the year

Coastal Division
1) V Tech
2) Virginia
3) G Tech
4) Miami
5) North Carolina
6) Duke

Atlantic division
1) Florida St
2) Maryland
3) NC State
4) Clemson
5) Wake Forest
6) Boston College

Re: College Football Thread

Atlantic division could be quite good this year.
FSU seems to have a tough schedule with most of their tougher games on the road. The FSU/Clemson game is going to be huge to start off the year. FSU should win but if they don't, it could get ugly again.

College football starts tonight for me.... Division 1AA Illinois State hosting Drake! Whoa boy.

Then coming back home to watch football on the tube.

Also, wtf, ISU plays Missouri this year. Talk about a decent team draw for us. Last year was Kansas State.

SoloAJ,

I think we should make a special thread for ISU v WIU. What do you think?

Wrong forum I suppose but I see with Rutgers slotted in 4th do you see value on the season u9.5 wins - 170? If they're 4th in the BE they could be vulnerable on the Maryland OOC home game as well

sorry...never got around to Rutgers projections

got to see I love some of the new blood ESPN is showcasing on college football live

Robert Smith and Jesse Palmer are great with Mark May

still not sold on Desmond Howard

Not enough Larry Coker to know how I feel yet

I'm up in the air on NFL network's daily show "College Football Now"
like Coach Donohue, but am not sold on using team's scout or rivals web moderator as 'expert' analysts

SEC WEST
1. LSU
2. Bama
3. Arkansas
4. Auburn
5. Miss St
6. Ole Miss

hate picking Auburn that low since they have a decent amount of talent and always seem to be their best when 'dissed' in predictions

SEC East
1. Tennessee
2. Georgia
3. Florida
4. South Carolina
5. Vandy
6. Kentucky

Tennessee isn't the best team, but they have the best schedule.

TITLE GAME
LSU over Tennessee

as to Florida
-toughest conference schedule for an SEC East team
-youth and inexperience on the defense (it was the defense that won the title last year)
-unproven QB for tough situations---Meyer babied him in easy field positions and running spots
-unproven rushing attack---it took Tebow and Harvin gimmick plays to get a rushing attack last year. I like the other teams having an off-season to prepare

I have Florida as 6 point favorites v Tennessee

It's just the way the schedules work that Florida is still likely to have more conference loses than Tennessee despite being a better team in my power rankings.

arghhhhhhhhhhhh....he got injured....that's the reason I swear

My belief in Penn St and Florida St (I'll excuse USC due to injuries) and lack of belief in Ohio State and Boston College are the more compelling screw-ups

It's pretty much impossible to tell how the Big East's going to shake out at this point. UConn's been a surprise, but they could easily still finish 4-3. And after the Huskies, the difference between second place and last place is only one game. We could still easily end up with West Virginia, Louisville, and USF finishing 1-2-3.

Orange, TFG, et al,

Auburn has lost one road game in 3 years and we had to miss 5 out of 6 FGs to lose that one in OT (LSU in '05.) Revenge will be a tall order, even in the Swamp.

if not for the weird uncalled fair catch, these predictions don't appear to be too far off the mark--Cincy and Uconn are better than I thought they would be

still, this isn't horrible
