Re: Big 1/2 NL Pots

I saw a 1900$ pot at live 1/2. Board was paired and had 3 clubs on it. A straight took down the 950BB pot against trips. 800BB went in on the river, I was kinda surprised.

In a $300.00 capped by-in made the biggest score of my life. My first night at the Trop in AC I bought in for $60.00 and built up my stack to just short of $2500.00 in about 7 hours.

it would be alot more interesting to hear how you ran your stack up 40x rather than some freak quads over boat hand that only doubled you up

I won a $900'ish pot this past weekend in Tunica at the Goldstrike, they play 1/2 NL uncapped so the stacks are pretty deep

($900 total was in the pot, but about half of it I had put in)

Had queen's full vs. another guy's ace high flush

I lost a ~1500 dollar pot at Mandalay in 1/2 when my flopped boat got beat by runner-runner quads by some donk with an overpair. Got it all in on the flop.

That was maybe 6 months ago and I still feel sick thinking about it.

his turn card was enough to win him the pot, DUCY?

[/ QUOTE ]

Not necessarily. DO YOU SEE WHY?

AJ v TT on AJJ flop, T turn, T river for example

EDIT: I'm an idiot.

[/ QUOTE ]

No, you're right. Rather than repeat this annoying DUCY junk:

Flop is 779 and all the chips go in with 99 vs. KK. KK could go runner runner quad 7's to win without being ahead on the turn.

[/ QUOTE ]

This was my hand.

Yes, I saw why.

No, it didn't help me be any less smacked in the face with a brick.

Speaking of quads hitting one like a brick, I was short-stacked and on the bubble of a tournament for a WPT seat when I open pushed from the CO with AdQd. The BB called with TT, and I paused after the flop to notice he had the Td in his hand, meaning I couldn't go runner runner royal to best his flopped quads!
