How do you possibly get that out of what Goodcall said? He said crime has gone down at the same time spanking has gone out of vogue and to him its not a coincidence. The implication is there is evidence of a causal connection.

What this comment says (fairly explicitly) is that, in fact, spanking can stop misbehavior. Of course, you DID just basically imply a direct causal relationship between crime rates sinking and spanking going out of style.....

So when I am standing in line with my 4yo niece and some kids behind us are spewing vulgarities I should chalk it up to freedom of expression?
And when I read about a kid killing his brother over a game controller, or the pukes who got one mom to drive them to a skate park to kill that 13yo, and the ~25 guys who jumped one (1) at Six Flags, and the 11yo having sex in the middle of class while others ran interference...it's all relative because I did mischief too when I was young!?

This is why your philisophy sucks. Because it sounds good but in the end it's just silly and dumb.

I'm sooo sure a great free and happy society has 13 year olds running around saying suck my #$%^. And causing chaos.

But with the freedom you propose. If the children have the freedome to tell me to suck their #$$% Then I have the freedom to stop them.
