I just replaced all my pans with cast iron pans. They heat evenly and get REAL hot.

Opinions on Cutco?

[/ QUOTE ]

Cutco are the best knives you can buy. A dull cutco knife is sharper than anyone else's new knife. After you cook with cutco you will never be able to use anything else. Their table knives are off the hook, its a butter knife that cuts your steak BETTER than a steak knife at a restaurant. SRSLY i used to bring my cutco knife to restaurants to eat.

Don't forget with cutco you get the FOREVER guarantee. What is the FOREVER GUARANTEE you ask? the FOREVER GUARANTEE is simply that - the knife is guaranteed, FOREVER. not 3 years, not a LIFETIME guarantee that expires when you die, but FOREVER. if the knife goes dull when you great-granchildren are using it, they can send it in to have it sharpened or replaced. No receipts no nothing. The knife is proof of purchase.

Based on Cooks Illustrated magazine reviews, I bought this sharpener:

One of the main chefs at Johnson & Wales culinary school told me this is all he uses to sharpen knives.

Wow, that DOES look baller. In fairness, this was in response to my question about what was the best way to sharpen knives at home, so even if he used your crazy contraption, he probably wouldn't have mentioned it.
