I pretty much only buy beer at Whole Foods, their selection tends to be pretty outstanding for a grocery store, and the prices are comparable to most of the specialty beer stores in the Seattle area if not cheaper, things are on sale all the time.

Salsa: Xochitl Ciphotle medium or hotter - MUST BUY

very authentic salsa that you find at legit mexican restaurants, not the tomato-ish crap found in krogers

How'd that go?

In terms of actual stuff from whole foods, I got a couple cheeses today that were decent - I'll find out what they are again. I also like it as a sandwich place, but I'm a build-your-own type of guy when it comes to sandwiches. And yeah, everything is overpriced. But I like it so much better I don't mind too much.

Best hand cream. Weleda Skin Food.

My friend is a manager in the vitamin department at WF, I could probably get lots of good recs from him if I wasn't so lazy/busy.

Whole Foods deli is pretty good IMO. They make mostly European sandwiches. The Prosciutto and homemade mozzarella is a particular favorite.

All,

I just had an organic tree ripened peach from Whole Foods. Wow, it was incredible. It tasted as good as anything I've gotten from any farmer's market.

whole foods also has ready cooked & frozen lobster meat in frozen fish section next to the fish market.

expensive (as you can imagine) but worth it. i made a lobster ceviche for my gf a while back and the lobster was excellent.

was the pad thai you got one of their freshly made type dishes. I always think these look so good and the times I've had them they always disappoint on flavor.

I think Wegmans beat out Trader Joe's and Whole Foods on the Food Networks award show for "Best Market"

Has anybody ever had the tiramisu at Whole Foods? It is always right by the entrance and looks amazing. I've actually picked it up before but never followed through and gotten it. Pretty lame now that I think about it
