JESUS CHRIST what about the collusion in the higher steps.

why only in higher steps and not in every single table (tourneys and cash games)

They will send out a sharply worded e-mail to any guilty parties.

Turbos are needed.

Re: Step 6 is 18 entries

Turbos for at least tiers 1 and 2 is needed, maybe 3 as well. That would generate a lot more traffic in these things. For tiers 4-6 I think if you have both regs and turbos the highest tiers would go off even less frequently.

I still don't understand the 'rake-trap' argument.
If I tried my own personal-steps via whatever cash SNG's I want to play doesn't the rake work out the same?

[/ QUOTE ]

No. You're ever so slightly better off playing Steps. I'm surprised nobody noticed this, but the reasons are two-fold.

1) The rake is ever so slightly lower in the steps.

$7+$0.50. The closest SNG is $6+$6.50.

2) There's a slight overlay in a couple of the events,
such as $0.50 added to each Step 2. (See "Tournament
Info" just under the betting structure).

Those tiny add-ons make it possible to avoid almost all "residual" bubble payouts in cash, and keep all prizes as tickets to future steps except the $1.50 for a third place finish in Step 1... or a PCA seat.

Yikes. The rake is higher than the entry!

And I definitely agree that the rake in these steps is very low.

This was the thing I liked the least about these. I Just play for fun mainly make a little in the process. I played a few step 1 and 2's last night before I noticed step 6 was 18 players. When I lose all the tickets I currently have that will be the end for me unless there is a 1 table step 6 added. I would like to see 1 table step 6 maybe something like this.

1st - 12000 PCA
2nd - 2100 step 6 ticket
3rd - 2100 step 6 ticket
4th - 700 step 5 ticket
5th - 215 step 4 ticket + $25
6th-9th 215 step 4 ticket

You could change 5th-9th maybe add another step 5 for 5th and make 6th -9th worth less

I agree with this 100% have a 1 table final step option that pays out as suggested above or even better 1st is the package and the other spots were cash in the amounts mentioned above. So at least if you make it to the final step i get something in return.

Example, i work my way up to the final step 3 times but can't make top 3 in the 2 table. I have nothing to show for my efforts. Where as if you have first pay a package in a 9 person tourn and the rest cash then you have some more real cash that goes back into the pokerstars world. As well anyone making it to the last step would walk away with something. If i was not able to make it and win the PCA package but came away with 3 cashes from making it to the final step and walking away with 4-6k i would still be happy.

Edit: And cash steps would be awesome, had a lot of fun with them on party before the US Ban. Lots of play for little money and shot at a nice score. Which i did a few times.
