DS,

Against me, I believe the turn is a clear check.

Except for a vague reference by El Diablo, not one poster quibbled with the pot size turn bet. In spite of the fact that any basic analysis would say that in most cases the bet should be either signifcantly smaller or an outright check.

I agree but it should be interesting to see how this comment gets flamed-while Sklansky is probably unaware of how much the "bet pot" button influences the dynamics of the UB games there's still no reason for players to use it if they wouldn't have otherwise been betting the pot.

Both of these are very true. I think check or at least a smaller then pot size bet accomplishes everything a pot size bet does.

I hate building big pot with medium hand which implies that I think both big turn bet and river call are major blunders. You are paying off bigger overpairs and your only chance is that Diablo is bluffing way too often and from what Ive seen he doesnt.

Although many of you say the turn is a clear check, I like how strassa played this.

Prev,

Let me be even more clear. Diablo is very clear to me about

1) How poorly I generally play

2) How good I am for his game

3) How I should not be playing in most of the 25-50 and higher games that i sit in on UB

He is very clear that KKF, bruiser, and most of the 25-50 regulars (including gandi9) are far better than I am. He thinks I give way too much action, am way too loose, and am a "[censored] terrible" hand reader.

Hi Strassa:

metagame, calling off your stack here with TT is likely to reinforce all of these impressions.

Re: 25-50 hand vs Diablo

I dont really agree. If I could replay the hand I would be the turn and fold to an all in.

You're giving up here on the flop very often.

A big problem I have to deal with is that the bet pot button fcks with my head. I get into spots where all I do is pot pot pot, then feel very uncomfortable not betting the size of the pot. If all I've been doing is pot pot pot, how is a smaller bet perceived?

I think the solution may be to always manually bet a number, but I also like to insta-pot it sometimes.

Help.
